View Full Version : Going to the neurologist tomorrow, send good vibes!

I'm so, so, so worried that I will just be dismissed, like I have so many times before. I know something is wrong, I KNOW!

So please send whatever positive vibes you can, that this dr. will actually look further into the issue and not just tell me I get migraines & give me pills.

I went to my neurologist today. I had all my tests done beforehand, so she basically just talked to me. She also adjusted my medication to see if we could reduce the frequency of my migraines. She was really nice, and it was comforting to talk to someone who specializes in "the problems in my head" lol.

ckerr, I haven't even had any tests done at all yet! Just medications thrown at me, which ain't gonna fix the problem. The last dr. I went to (who gave me the referral, bless him!) was not sure what it was, but gave me some Maxalt to try, figuring if it was migraines that would help, and it doesn't help. So, we'll see.

denise, my regular doc ordered the tests - a CT scan, MRI, bloodwork - and sent me to the neuro because everything turned out normal;)
But neurologists know so much about what's going on in your head that they should be able to figure something out! I hope it went well!! If she does order the tests, they're not bad at all - imagining what they might do is much worse, lol.
