I'm back from MIS

We were at Michigan Speedway for the NASCAR race. It was great as usual. I met a bunch of drivers, Tony Stewart, Jimmy Spencer, Matt Kenseth (& his wife, Katie), Ricky Rudd, Bobby Labonte, Terry Labonte, Robby Gordon, Steve Park (what a babe! LOL), Kurt Busch, & Casey Atwood. Sunday, I ran into (literally, I'm such a klutz) Johnny Benson. He was very nice. I'd have to pick Jimmy Spencer and Steve Park as the nicest though. They were great with the fans.

I got a nice sunburn (@#$%$@#%^ SPF 45 my butt!) and everything in the camper worked. We got to spend time with our friends from Michigan and Iowa, whom we only see once a year and now I'm exhausted! I need a vacation from my vacation. :D :D :D :D :D :D

I LOVE Nascar races. I have been to all of the ones at Las Vegas Speedway. We always have so much fun, and meeting the drivers is always fun. I am a die-hard Rusty Fan...but my motto is anybody but Jeff...lol.

im sooo jealous......and *not* telling dahubby you met the kenseths! did they have Lars with them? they usually do LOL and he is known to give Junior's cat* a swipe on the nose!

we had a plecostomus named tony stewart (ugly, big mouth bottom feeder ITS A JOKE) but they pinned him against the side of a tank with a rock and he died. no more plecos.

heheheeheheh...I thought of you Cappy, when I met them. They were on pit road so no Lars :(. I did see Mike Skinners dog Opus(He's a doberman) in the golf cart, but no Mike. As for Tony Stewart, the anger mgt must be working, he was SO nice! Smiling and signing autographs for anyone who asked. I've now met 27 of the NASCAR regulars :D

i keep wantng to go to Ft Worth, but it would be pricey trip to do it all out......

matt kenseth seems so nice.....my hubby is a real mattman so I bought him some matt stuff for his bday and sent it to matt to sign......he signed it all, even the bday card i got.

I'm not a Nascar fan, but I do live near the Darlington Raceway in South Carolina. The Darlington 500 big race is coming up on Labor Day weekend. The truckstop I work at sells all the official Nascar cars, train sets, clothing, etc. Very big sellers, even at the prices!

We get to wear our Nascar T-shirts on race weekend, to promote it. From what I've heard from my coworkers, it gets crazy the entire week before the race, let alone that weekend. Guess I'll be working my butt off! LOL

I think they are still selling tickets to the event, if I'm not mistaken. It's a big deal around here, that's for sure. Ain't much else to do! LOL :D

I met Bill Elliot and Ray Evernham last year. I've seen Rusty but not met him yet, he was on my list for this year but he wasn't signing :(. No DJ or Mark Martin yet either.
