Woohooooo!! I GOT MARRIED!!!

Can you believe it? I took the plunge! SweetJen is a married woman.
Jeff & I got married on July 20th in Groveland, MA. We went to the White Mountains for our honeymoon and had a blast!

Who else is married? Any tips for the new bride?

As a married 'bride' of 30 years, I can tell you this...start training him RIGHT now, and break him in early. :D

Seriously, just be FRIENDS with each other. Everything will fall into place then. If you sincerely LIKE each other (liking is far more imporant IMHO than loving) everything will be fine. And when you don't 'like' each other very much, remember what attracted you to each other in the first place and why you liked each other to begin with.

Always appreciate those little things that made you love him/her...those are the things that drive you nuts later.

Never go a day without telling each other that you love the other (even if you have to force yourself to remember why you do)

Always present a united front to the outside world. You may disagree with each other, but united you stand, devided you fall.

Remember the important days...Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Anniversary's and Birthdays are important, but so are flowers, or a love note "just because".

Know that even on the worst day, you have each other. Sometimes, it is all you have.

Love each other.

Thank you all for the wonderful tips!
We are BEST friends which is why everyone who knows us says we will last forever. Of course there are days when I want to strangle him (lol) but I'm sure there are days he feels the same way. The key would be NOT to strangle each other! :p ;)

Hubby and I will be celebrating our 5th anniversary on the 4th of Aug.
OH...that's this Sunday. Man, how time flies.
He just bought me a new mouse for my confuser (computer). it's the shape of Dale Jr's car. I guess it's my present. At least he remembered.

My advice is that even though you're always right, let him think everynow and then that he's right even though he TOTALLY WRONG!!!!

and buy two remotes for the TV. that way he can't have control all the time.

We have been married for almost 11 years. Don't let anyone tell you marriage doesnt take work! You neglect each other and the marriage crumbles. Date him, send him love notes, work out your disagreements, Think about how you would expect to be treated by your absolute best friend in the world and then treat him better than that!

My hubby was a great friend before we got married and alongside my Mom he is my best friend now!

Last thing, I promise, don't let anyone, family or friend, come between you!

I hope you have a very happy, long life together and celebrate at least your 75th anniversary together!

Oh...how cute!!!!!I just got married....well, about a year ago...Our anniversary is on June 9th, so I guess a year and almost 2months... the only advice I can give you is to be honest to each other, cherish each other and resolve arguments before turning into bed. If not, neither of you will sleep well, I know from experience....Also, do not sweat the small stuff, there will plenty else to get upset about. Other than that....have a wonderful time and enjoy each other...If you do not have children, do as much as you can togther before having them....

The above advice was given to me and so far so good....CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!
