Im trying to find out about the school im attending. I have questions about if it is accredited. Also what type of education do you have to be a college teacher? I have some major issues with the school im attending. If anyone can help let me know.

Go to your school's website. Their accreditation should be listed somewhere. OR, go to Peterson's (Petersen's) website and do a search for your school there. It's been awhile since we've used that site, so I don't know the exact url.

You could also do a search at google.com for Yourcollege (whatever it is) accreditations and see if anything comes up. If you give me the name of your school, I'll check in a couple books Sarah has downstairs.

As far as requirements/pre-requisites for teaching at the college level, I'm not sure (and Sarah's not here) but I know she's qualified to teach a couple different courses on the high school and college level (anat & physiology)

It goes statewide, at least if it's like the public school system, you have to get your teaching license, and the state decides about what credentials you have to have.

Here, you have to have a master's degree. And, that's as far as I know..but that's missouri, different states prolly have diff. requirements..

Here is a website that may help you in what is required to be a college teacher.

Here is that Peterson's web link

Hope this helps! :):)

Hmmm, I checked http://www.universities.com/Schools/G/Gwinnett_College_Of_Business.asp
and it only has general info/fees through 2001. It's a 2 year or less school, right, so you'll have to transfer at the end of 2 years?

They did apply for a new grant of accreditation in Dec 2001 with the accrediting council of independent colleges & schools (acics).

This is a business school, correct? I don't know about GA, but around here you can't get a teaching degree in less than 4 years, and not from a business school. You're wanting to teach post-secondary education? College/university level? What field? That might be where you start...teaching business classes on the college level? (I'm saying business courses since you're attending a business school) Am I wrong & confused? :D

I really think you need to talk to your advisor to make certain you're on the right track. I'd hate to see you waste a year or two and not have the requisites you need to go on.
