Does it have an objective? lol I don't know. Mine have had 3 promotions, and I'm trying to get one couple to turn into frankentien by trying the potions it makes. I mostly like to see how good I can get at building houses. My last one has a mote going through it with water tiles and bridges they can walk over. Niftly little stuff you can d/l from the different sims sites. :)

Nah, I don't think it's challenging. Well, the keeping the kids part is for me LOL. I finally got a good job for my sims, and I can't miss work. Sooo, I have lost 2 babies to social services LOL Ohh and when I first started playing, I didn't make the other kids study, so they got shipped to military school. So, I guess keeping your kids is challenging ;) I made a house and let my oldest 2 decorate it how they wanted. I went on a spree d/ling purple bedroom sets and hunting theme's for my daughter and son. That was pretty fun, their house is pretty cute now lol.

There is no real 'objective' in the Sims - its a 'People Simulator'

You get to choose your family (we had fun modelling them to look like us), build a house to your psecifications, and decorate as you see fit.

You then place your Sims in your house, and the first challenge, if you have a couple, is to get them to fall in love (sometimes their personalities will clash but thats half the fun of it!)

Once you get your couple to sleep in the same bed (LOL) you need them to get jobs, depending on whats available in the newspaper (or computer if you can afford one) it will decide which career track your Sims will embark on. But remember, if you miss two consecutive days at work you will get fired and will have to start again!

Sims can have babies too - its an easy process - look after them for 2 'Sim Days' and they will magically turn into a child. This child then needs to attend school and study, otherwise they will be sent off to Boot Camp

The Sims have many expansion sets - Livin Large, House Party, Hot Date, Vacation and the soon to be release 'Unleashed' These basically add to the whole experience with new furniture, house details and new 'lots' where you can visit and place your Sims. The later Hote Date and Vacation lets you go visiting 'Downtown' and 'Vacation Island'

Sims are 'real' people, who need to be taught how to cook (or you will burn the hosue down)and to be shown the basics, eat, sleep, bathe, toilet, socialise etc...

hehe.. you WILL have fun with it - but beware - it IS addicting!!

You can all go on a family holiday with the Expansion 'Sims Vacation'

The original Sims I think is still selling for around $40 and each expansion is about $25-$30. If you use Ebay, I suggest you take a look around there - thats where I got all my expansion sets for around half the price of retail!

ROTFLMAO I think we need a support group. Just wait till you start bulldozing every house in the neighborhood rebuilding them. Man, I used to d/l objects and skins, now I d/l floor tiles and wall paper for the new houses. LOL
