I love winmx mainly b/c i can resume a download that i was cut off from. Never fails I get to 90something percent complete and the user goes off line lol. But now i can just pick up from someone else where i got cut off:D

I haven't ever really d/l any music before. I am checking out winmx. I have cable and it is taking a while to d/l on mp3. Is that about right--to take awhile??

LOL kelblend it's addictive isn't it? hehe. Oh and if you dont want to wait forever to download one song just download the same song several times off of different users then only keep the fastest one, cancel out the rest.....thats what i do;)

http://www.kazaalite.com is the best - I can download a song in about 30 seconds :) Or a full length movie in about 3 hours

have a question for those using WinMx, if you are downloading several different songs at the same time, do you notice it takes a lot longer to download and that your computer runs slower????

I don't use WinMx I use Kazaalite but yes it does slow my computer down and the download times down when you are trying to download more than one file at a time. I usually limit mine to 2 or 3 at a time and that slows everything down some. Do you have dial-up? I do but my brother uses DSL and he can download a song in about 30 seconds and it takes me about 15 minutes.:(

I am using a 56K dial up (can't afford anything else) and I have 7 downloading at one time, this thing is running slower than molasses in January, gonna have to check out kazzalite though and see if its any faster, thanks

If you are on dial-up, it's not gonna matter which service you use. You only have 56k to work with. That's the bottom line.
Stick with WinMx cause you can download the same song from multiple people and that in turn makes a song download faster.

TIP: With dial-up, stick to one or two songs at a time.
