"IT" Has hit the fan!
I ran into a co-worker who works in lab at K-mart (Yeah I do still shop there-no Walmarts for miles around) who indicated that MANY of the workers at night are "SHOCKED" that I took the day shift job offer and that I will be leaving soon.
To each their own. Two employees from nights switching to days and another joining us soon. Hmmmmmmm........
I guess after 7 years of nights and my co-workers didn't think I was serious about switching to days. But with "Attila the R.N/Unit Coordinator" on the loose...Many more may do the same.
I had to take the offer and RUN............

Makes me feel good that my Co-workers will actually "miss" having me around at night.
Things had to change. For the sake of starting to get my life back on track after daughter's illness discovery and the "rotten" treatment I've had from "Attila".

Daughter just turned 11 last week. She currently is at camp and won't be home til Monday.
Healthwise she is doing well. Has to see her Doctor at least every two months for blood and other tests. Also when she becomes ill. The Doctors are trying to figure out a pattern. They however, feel that hopefully the worst would be blood transfusions as her counts drop. Otherwise no treatments at this time. They say this is best we could hope for considering that we all thought her ailment was Leukemia.

The third Patient Care Assistant has taken the switch from nights to days shift.
A co-worker called and indicated that work is all a "BUZZ" about the mutiny to day shift.
She was particularly upset that I was leaving. But understood after I indicated the problems and that it was time for me to get a "normal" schedule on days. After our conversation, the co-worker indicated "You Lucky Dog". So I suppose at some time when another position opens up she may try to change shifts too.

good for you I hope the day shift works out better and poor Attila gets the message he isn't well liked.
my spouse will not go to the day shift traffic is the main reason. a 16 mile drive can take well over an hour each way in Southern Cali at peek hours which is now 6am to 7pm it seems
