hey guys1 thought maybe somebody else has had this prob. sometime or another. my 4 yr. old daughter keeps getting headaches like once every month or two. they usually make her stick to her stomach but once she throws up shes usually over it. ive talked to doc about it but they always say its probably sinus infection etc. and ive never been able to make it into the doctor while shes actually having one. except for one time and she had bronchitis at the time etc. so they said thats what was causing it. like i said its usually once a month or two. anybody else's kid ever done anything like this?

could be nausea from post nasal drip...or could be a migraine(they make me throw up) does she have any symptoms prior to the throwing up? Any nasal stuffiness or sniffles, sore throat? I know when i get allergy symptoms sometimes I get sick from the post nasal drip hitting the back of my throat.Maybe next time she gets a headache or says her head hurts, try shining a flashlight in her throat and see if it looks red or mucusy.Hth..

Yeah, the first thing I thought of was migraine, too! You need to ask her if she sees spots in front of her eyes or if things look funny. Does she sleep after she throws up? Thats what my son would do. Is the headache on one side? If it is, she sees spots, I would absolutly say migraine. Poor baby : (

It could be her eyes. I know that sounds weird, but my dot was having headaches with migraine type symptoms but not the vomiting and we had her eyes checked. Haven't had a complaint about headaches since.

My 5 year old has the same problem. Hes been having them since he was 3. When we took him to the doc he said they were migaines and that he "should" out grow them. My brother had them when he was young and did outgrow it but my mom has migaines about every week. And my hubby get them so bad he cant move for about 3 days. I hope she feels better soon. I know how hard it is to watch you child suffer and not be able to help.

ksjayhawkfan--your son does the same thing? what do you do for him? how often does he get them?thankx in advance.
captorquewrench--sorry to hear about your little one's tummy aches.
((((HUGZ}}}} to everyone who replied.
its really frustrating ya know? she has a heart problem too but im sure the two arent related. there for awhile i thought maybe it was something in the house making her sick as we live in an older trailer but i pretty much ruled that out. her pediatrician is a whacko. and theres no other docs taking new patients. so we usually by pass him when theres a problem and just go to the er. her heart doctor is gr8 though. wish he was her pediatrician.

He usually gets them about once a week. Nothing seems to trigger them really. They had me keep a log of things he ate, watched, etc. Then when he got the headache they could see if it was one thing that was triggering it. But it was never the same things he was doing. I can usually tell if hes starting to get a bad one by the way he act and I try to get some Tylenol or Motrin in him before it gets too bad. Sometime that works a little but usually I just have to let him get over it on his own. Once he throws up he goes to sleep and when he wakes up he seems to be better. The doc said thats about all I can do for right now. I have noticed that he hasnt been having them as often as he once did(used to be about every other day:( ) Our doctor didnt do any specific tests he just went by the symptoms(nasuea, sensitive to light, etc) I hope you get it figured out.
