My cat sleeps on my pillow, above/around my head. He lets me know when he wants to go to bed, and gets realy impatient if I stay up too late. He will come down the hall and meow at me. If he is out in the living room with me but wants to go to bed, when I get up he will go running to the bedroom, then get all bummed f that's not where I go. Usually around 2 a.m. or so, if I'm still up, he gives up & lays under the desk. I wish he would lay on my feet, they're usually cold. Right now he is all cozy on my lap.

See, he leaves some room for me.
So, where does your kitty sleep?

At night on "his" pillow next to me, with his head on my shoulder and when I'm on the computer he sleeps on the back of my computer chair with his head on my shoulder. He's my angel, unless he's falling in the toilet, then I don't claim him, lol.

My baby used to sleep under the blankets, or on top of them, between my legs. Sometimes she slept on my butt... she liked cushion.

My cat is not as loving. He only shows me affection early in the morning when he wants his breakfast. Sometimes he wakes me up at 5:30 a.m. on a Saturday:eek:  . Anyway, he usually sleeps in my bedroom window at night or he sleeps in my doorway. He used to sleep with me on my bed, but for some reason, he doesn't anymore. If my cat were to sleep on my pillow like yours, denisemm, he probably would bite me everytime I turn over!!:D :D I think because my cat was a stray when I got him (he was a few weeks old) I guess he's street smart and doesn't like people touching and holding him. I really want a cat that I can hold and pet. But I can't get another one, because he is a bully and starts fights with any cat that crosses his path.:)

One sleeps under the blankets at dh's feet, one sleeps between dh and me, one sleeps right up next to his (DH) side and the other sleeps wherever he feels like it that night, usually downstairs gaurding the house.
I hate when they sleep in the bed, their hair gets over everythign and then I cant breathe.
If you see a pattern, lol, they hate me and love dh... :)

I have two cats (twin brothers) and they're not allowed in the bedroom. It's the only room that's not always messy or covered in cat hair and my bf and I like having that one room to ourselves LOL. However, when I wake up it in the morning the are always asleep right up against the door LOL.

Where ever the h**l she wants! If she is sleeping on the couch and you try to move her she lets out this really low growling hissing sound that sounds like a wild animal. Then if you still try to move her she tries to remove your arm.

I love that "HER" chair... YES for you who don't have cats, or cat's yet, once you do you will lose part of your possessions. Usually your favorite sweater, most comfortable pillow, computer chair, favorite blanket, whatever it is they WILL take over something of yours that you love!
There's a really cute site posted in ~Arts and Crafts~ that links to http://www.auntannie.com/tyler.html Cat lovers should check it out :)
Erm, I don't have a problem with cat hair... is it maybe because mine are kittens or because they're a different type of cat?
I also give them baths once a week and they've kinda came to like it.
And I have a Day Care in my house so I'm constantly cleaning, so surely I would notice the hair, right?
My cat sleeps anywhere...but he has to be laying on something! Like a shoe, clothes, laundry basket, on top of a box, But his favorite is on the back of the couch      And I'm always dragging out the darn vacuum because the couch is a dark color and the cat is a light color and all the cat hair shows up and I can't stand it.
All the beds are off limits ;)

My cat won't sleep with me or even sit on my lap. I wrote to Purina Cat Chow about it and here's their letter.----
Thank you for visiting the Purina Cat Chow web site and for taking the time
to contact us!
First, you will want to keep in mind that each cat is different -
personality, characteristics, habits, likes and dislikes. Evidently, your
cat just does not like to be held, picked up, snuggled, sit on your lap,
etc. This is normal behavior for some cats. Perhaps he never received such
treatment when he was a kitten and has never gotten used to it. He may get
to the point at some time in his life to seek your attention or get on your
lap, etc. as he matures, but again, he may not. You will want to accept him
on his terms and make the most of it when he will allow you to provide him
with some TLC.
My personal experience with two Siamese cats (one male and later one female)
over the years are that they are very independant and they acted the same
was as you describe Simon acting. It seems to be quite common with this
breed. The next time you get a kitten/cat you will want to see which one
seems friendly, cuddly, etc. before you get it. Perhaps you will want to
check out the archived questions and answers in our web site as similar
inquiries have already been addressed and we feel sure you will find some
helpful insights in selecting another cat.
We want to encourage you to use the Purina Cat Chow Cat Care Library
http://www.catchow.com/catcare.asp for answers to common cat care questions.
You might want to check the articles found on cat care at www.purina.com
also. But remember, in an emergency or if you suspect your cat needs
urgent care, you should contact your veterinarian immediately.
Thanks again for visiting the Purina Cat Chow web site.
I don't think all Siamese are this way. I've had one before and my sister has had many and they were all cuddlers.
He does like to sleep on the chair next to me when I'm on the computer but he doesn't like for me to pet him. He was the last one in his litter so he probably didn't get picked because he would go hide. I thought he would be even more socialized since he was around his mother for eight weeks but I guess the opposite happened.
He likes to tease though. He lays on his back and looks so cute, like give me some attention, but when I do he gets up and goes just beyond my reach. At night he sleeps anywhere in the house just not on the bed or with anyone.

Picture of my angel holding her kitten "Angel" (http://groups.msn.com/hembyfamily/july02.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=1188)
Mine usually stay hidden all day long, then come out to cuddle at night (when the kids are sleeping). When the oldest was a baby she was really shy and would run when anyone would come near her, I would crawl under my bed or in the closet after her and hold her and pet her and show her that she had no reason to be afraid, then when we got the second the first hated her, they'd fight (still don't share the same food bowl) and I was afraid then that the youngest would hate everyone, but they both grew out of it with a little special attention.
Try bribing your unloving cat to come to you, hold a small piece of canned tuna in your hand and gently pet it when it comes to you, or get in the floor and play with it with toys.

ChristyH you are a braver person than me, last time I tried to bathe them the little boy almost removed my arm, and the little girl climbed right up the shower curtain and was just kinda hanging on the rod on the top crying piteously, after that I gave up, I used to give them both a bath twice a year but now I've resigned myself to the fact that there is hair hair everywhere
oh yes that is most definatly her chair, soon as it came in the house she claimed it, I was going to get rid of the old chair (that is falling apart and sags way down if u sit in it) but the king threw a fit because its his chair so it now has a slip cover on it and sits in my extra bedroom

At night, she sleeps at my feet, or Mike's feet. During the day, she sleeps wherever, the ironing board, top of the couch/loveseat, the spare bed, etc. Rarely in her bed tho! :)

Wherever the mood strikes him, lol. Sometimes he sleeps by (or on) my feet at night, and sometimes under the bed.
One of his favorite spots to nap is actually the bottom shelf of an end table. I took everything off it since he kept kicking things to the floor anyway.
And he loves to curl up behind my knees if I'm lying on the couch reading. Especially in the winter, when I'll put an afghan over my legs.

Christy--Simon is a very good cat just not loving. He follows me around the house like a puppy dog and is very mellow. Doesn't complain about anything. eats the same food all the time and isn't picky. He likes to play with me and chase a ball and retreive it. Only time he is affectionate is when I'm holding him while I'm standing. then he puts his paws around my neck and nuzzles for awhile.
I would like to have him lay beside me when I lay down though. this helps when one is feeling bad you know. Lowers the blood pressure. Instead he growles and screams at me. Oh well.
Your pic is so cute. That cat is almost as big as your little angel. Bet they have a ball together.

her second favorite spot is under the sheets in the spare bed.

We have four cats and they all sleep where ever they want .. lol. My kitty a lot of times will come in bed with me when I go to bed, but he doesn't always stay the whole night.
When it is hot outside you can usually find him laying in the bathtub .. lol .. that is until you turn the water on!
