? about MCAS cherry point

My hubby said we may be moving there after he gets off the boat, im wondering if someone from there can please email me some things that are in that area, that mabey I can do with the kids, im looking on the web, and i have found some things, but would like to know from people that actually live there....... how is housing?? would it be best to live out in town vice the base? etc. please let me know, this will be our first REAL move if it happends, and i dont know my brain from my rear end about these type of things. thanks

for the links, i have the link to the base already.... i was just wanting peoples opinions on the houses up there, i mean, like here everything is totally falling apart, maintnance came to look at broken tiles today and said I may have asbestos in here!:eek: ( I MAY HAVE ASBESTOS):confused: so now they have to make a apt, to get someone to come here and look. floor is warped, walls falling apart.in the mean time my kids and i are here breathing whatever in!. i was just wondering from anyone living there if they were like that there too. and what they take their kids to do for fun in that area. but ill take a look at the links, and thanks.

oh my bad that's why i put the links there it has a whole section on housing near and around the base with pictures and details, and school info;)

I know a couple of peeps on the board live in NC but not in Cherry point
