I'm looking for (I guess) a theme for my kitchen. You know how some people have apples and cows and stuff. Wwelll, I'm ready to decorate my kitchen and I'm lookin for ideas. I was thinking of the Pillsbury Doughboy, but those kind of things are hard to come by. Any ideas???

I have a black/chrome industrial/commercial style kitchen. Plus I collect windchimes.....

Try to go with a color, not theme, it will be eaier to coordinate and cheaper too....

Used to be Coca-Cola, now its just a mess since we moved. I left most of my stuff behind when I moved, so we have all black appliances now, but no theme yet.

Machande_Kennels,
I'll keep that in mind. Do you know what size they are? I have a small window in the kitchen and a double glass patio door in the dining room. Thanks for the input.

Pillsbury Dough would be a great idea. There is a site that has all kinds of Doughboy items. Also I have a Doughboy timer I would be willing to get rid of.

My kitchen is composed of many small garden type windows and two really large windows about 6x8. I just tripled the valances at the top.

When I first started this post I wasn't into trading at all. And now that I've traded a bunch, I'm all for it. If anyone's gotten any Pillsbury DoughBoy stuff, let me know.
And to all who replied, thanks a lot! I've decided to do the Doughboy thing theme. Thanks!

I'm glad you found a theme. I spend as little time in my kitchen as possible. It's avacado green with matching appliances from the 70's. I swear it's like the Brady's threw up in my apartment, it's so out of date!

When we move, and I get to decorate from scratch (my fiance and his mom decorated our house before I met him), I'm going to make the kitchen, a KISSchen. Lot's of kisses, pink, red, and white. :)

Good choice. The Pillsbury doughboy will be so cute.

I used to have sunflowers, then I was gonna do birdhouses but then I ended up doing antiques and roosters.

We are trying to buy a house and I am planning on how to decorate the kitchen now. For as long as I can remember my Grandmother had a kitchenaid mixer and as soon as I was on my own she bought me one. We use it every day. So I am going to put up some chrome shelving and display old kitchenaid mixers and accessories. I've got some very old Kitchenaid Mixer cookbooks and I am going to frame the pictures in them. My favorite two things that I have right now are a Kitchenaid shaped cookie jar and a little clock shaped like a mixer.
