I grew up in SW Missouri and now I live in NW Missouri. Grew up on a farm in Squires MO, which is about 60-70 miles SSE of Springfield. I went to a college in the middle of the state. I lived in Springfield for a while so i guess you could say I've lived all over MO.

Car64683, I have a VERY good friend who grew up in Squires, one of the Dry boys (Eddie). I met him at college outside of Branson, we went to School of the Ozarks in Point Lookout. I am also from MO, grew up in Raytown and Harrisonville, although I live in Texas now.

We were stationed at Ft L'wood last year for 6 months. We thought we were going to really be bored there but by the time we left I didnt want to go..I miss it :(

Forgot to add..I don't miss the darned ticks everywhere though. The little boogers were falling out of the trees. I got 3 off of me within 2 months. DH had one in a not so good place!! The place was infested with them. My neighbor had to inspect her kids every night for them..YUCK!

Hello "home staters"! I'm a Missourian born and bred. I moved to Michigan 3 years ago, but home is where the heart is. :) My home town is smack dab in the middle of the state, little place called Slater. Just 12 miles from Marshall, 30 miles from Sedalia.

CHERNL, i know several of the Dry family but off the top of my head I don't remember an Eddie. Of Course it's been 12 yrs since I lived around there. I start to go to S of O too, but changed my mind.
The town I went to College in is Fayette, which is really close to Columbia.

I never thought I would say this, but I miss Missouri! I lived in Springfield for 13 years, and just moved to Florida in August. I miss The Palace Theater, there are no dollar movies here, Canton Inn on the corner of Sunshine and Campbell, chinese food here sucks, and I miss getting in the car and knowing how to get where I want to go! I lived just off of Broadmoor between Sunshine and Sunset. I know some of you said you were from SW MO so I figured there were some Springfieldians here. And I miss the weather. I check it every day on AOL and I know its getting cold and I had a fireplace that I didnt get to use cuz we moved here.

Sharinbo I used to live in Wichita. My parents were from there and when my father retired from the military he made us live there. OK wichita is not so bad. I graduated from South High class of um well never mind that. Went to WSU too! how cool.
Mysticalskye like I didn't think anyone knew of Miami, Ok. my uncle owns a summer home on grand lake. Monkey Island (if they still call it that) We would go to Miami on saturdays to do the laundry and hang out. My cousin and I would go to the dimestore and buy nickle cokes!
What was the name of that store? Oh yea Woolworths. Haven't seen one of those in a while! And holding our breath over Sailboat bridge. My aunt would go as slow as she could just to make us hold our breath longer. (okay maybe she was trying to shut us up for a while!) WOW! thanks for the memories!

It is really neat to see so many people from Missouri. To DMCY, I was working for Semo Community Treatment Center in Poplar Bluff. Their main office is in Park Hills, although I have never been there. I always wanted to go to that area and go to yard sales.
When will they be starting up? The weather has been so nice here this winter that the yard sales are still going, a few are anyway.
Let's here from some more people from Missouri so we can see how many Missourians like bigbigsavings as much as I do. I am addicted to this site. I love freebies.;)

If you have small kids you have to go to Miner Mikes it is the best. other than that outlet shopping, fishing/golf. we try to go up 1-3 times a year.
