Stupid christmas music
Ok, first I want to say, I LOVE CHRISTMAS, I can't wait to get out all the decorations and stuff.
BUT, I kid you not, it started on HALLOWEEN day, 2 of my favorite radio station started playing 24/7 christmas music, don't you think it's a little early?? I mean, come one, on halloween???
And to say, that these radio stations are the ones I listen to for my 70's,80's, and 90's music. NOT NOW, 24/7 christmas untill christmas is OVER.
UGH!

I despise christmas music, unless it's christmas eve/morning, mainly because it's overplayed!

we've been listening to christmas music for a few weeks. While it may be overplayed, I don't mind it. I think it adds some cheer and fun, plus it's kind of a 'family time' thing for my family when it comes on the radio. We usually sing to it together or talk about what it's saying, like the Christmas shoes song. Honestly, if it bothered me, I'd just turn off the radio.

I can't agree with you more Jasmine. It's just way too commercial any more.

Way too early for the 24/7 stuff, can you call in to the station and complain?

I agree totally. It really bothers me that everyone is of good cheer around the season, and giving, but a lot of people do absolutely nothing the rest of the year. I think the sentiment should be year round.

And I think its just become about giving gifts more than what its should be about. Which is different to everyone. But I don't think it was about giving gifts........
When they started putting out stuff in Sept. I was like REALLY?

First off, I love what Christmas is SUPPOSED to mean, but I can't stand the holiday anymore. I hate it. They started putting Xmas stuff up WITH the halloween stuff. I was lime OMG, there is still 3 more months before Xmas!! Its too commercial, too much rushing, too much everything. Once my kids are grown, I will be done with it. I might buy for our grandkids, or better yet just give money. Thats it. As far as the Xmas music... your best bet will be to just burn some CDs for your fave music and just play those til after Xmas

fleabones, you prob. know which channels since were from the same area, 106.1 and then 92.9 KBEZ.
And yes Hesnothere, I think I'm going to look up there site on the internet and write them an email. I mean, 24/7, beginning on Halloween is just to much. They should just play it at certain times or days....

I have XM satellite radio, so I don't listen to commercial radio any longer. That being said I have been rockin' the Jackson 5 and Stevie Wonder Christmas cds for a while now. I'm not certain if the soft rock station here is doing their 24/7 Christmas music yet. haha I'm not even Christian nor is my family, but I've always enjoyed the music.
