Stupid laptop!

Ok, it isnt the laptop's fault at all, but still............


Last night I had internet issues. I was on the phone till almost 11 pm with the tech. I finally got things resolved and was rebooting..During the reboot, APPARENTLY I fell asleep. I woke up at 2:13 am with the laptop balanced very precariously on my legs/knees(my feet were on an ottoman). I had a red mark where the laptop case had dug into my leg so I rubbed it then went to bed after shutting the laptop down. This morning I got up and noticed my knee was still sore. A bit ago I happened to rub my knee and noticed that I have a BLISTER where the laptop was sitting for so long on my knee/leg. The blister is about a 1/2 inch in diameter, but STILL.....I am amazed how the laptop got hot enough to blister me.


So, PSA, Dont fall asleep and if you do, dont leave the laptop in our lap so that it could BLISTER YOU.... UGH!

Sorry that happened, I'm sure it is hurting today.
I know laptops do get pretty hot on the bottom, but never gave it any thought that you could get a blister like that.
Hope it heals fast for you.

Check your laptop online to see if there has been a recall on the battery, if not, call and complain to the company. If it burned your leg, it is a fire hazzard, and they need to be made aware of their faulty product. You should have never been burned by that laptop.

my moms did that to me...but it did it in about 20 mins..what brand is yours? Hers was from Office depot..I think it was a compaq

and they all have this issue of heating up in the lap they are made to sit flat and have vents on the bottom to let the heat disapaite.
but in your lap the heat all goes to your lap.......
well i went on amazon and found this and they are really great so try this , even with shipping its cheaper than anything in the stores and they are really cheap , i got three of them two for my hubby and one for my son both computer programers ....
and they love them,

the dealers used one s are new also , for nine bucks and shipping its worth the price they have one with a pocket so you can carry your mouse and cords too for just a few bucks more,

I have this laptop desk, but wasnt using it last night. I bet I use it religiously from now on!


My laptop is an Acer. I dont think it is defective, I just left it in one spot waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayy too long. It was all my fault.
