How can you be friends with someone who can't be honest? Friends don't lie or steal from you. I personally think you have to walk away from him and his situation. Why keep him in your childrens life? Kids are smart and they know whats going on around them. Why set a example that his behavior is ok. What would you tell your daughter/sister if they came to you with the same problem? Just answer that question and follow your own advise. JMO

If he specifically named lortab may I ask why you would leave one laying around? I do NOT blame you. Don't get me wrong. He is totally to blame. Just curious if you knew that was his drug of choice why leave it out in plain view?
And how in the world would he even know your grandma was on them?
I would get rid of him. I agree with several posters because if he steals your meds or scripts your at risk.

Hugs to you. You are not going to have any good come if you stay with him. Seems like he is somewhat of a functioning addict at this point, but his life will spiral out of control before long and you and your kids should not be part of that.

Okay, the deed is done. I told him it's over and he needs to come get his stuff. He apologized for lying to me and I told him it wasn't going to cut it this time. There was nothing he could do that would change my mind. I yelled and really let him have it for lying to me. And I didn't feel bad about it, so the only thing let is for him to come pick up his stuff on Monday.

He never called yesterday, he didn't come get his stuff. I haven't talked to him since Saturday night. Who knows when he'll get a ride to come get his stuff.

you know i gotta tell you, I am not surprised... most drug addicts have no sense of time and are more worried about feeding their habit than anything else...
