My son has the flu

He is 9 and this is the first time he has gotten the flu. Poor kid. Dr did not think it was the H1N1 but with it around here she wouldn't be surprised if it is. One of the local high schools is closed because of H1N1, and some of the other ones have a lot of kids out because of the flu.

Sorry that he's got it. Hope he gets better soon. We all had the flu a few weeks ago and it was not fun. Hope the rest of the family stays healthy.

The dr didn't test him for the H1N1? Ok, I don't mean to scare you... but watch him like a hawk. There was a kid here locally that the doctors wouldn't test and they died about a week later. They were positive for the H1N1. I'd take him to the ER or something... this stuff really scares me.

My neighbor's sons have h1n1 and to be honest they're not as sick as they would be with the regular flu. I've been around them, Chloe was around them both before and after symptoms showed and we knew they had it...neither of us have gotten sick and we're well past the time frame that we should be.

The patients we have been seeing that have been testing postive have different symptoms that the regular flu. The swine flu symptoms are like headache, sore throat, fever, body aches, cold chills. The regular flu usually includes more upset stomach, diarrhea type symptoms.

His stomach is upset, he has vomited a couple of times already. Dr told me to give him ice cold things to eat, Popsicle's, cold jello things like that.

Blake was vomiting and he's got H1N1...and both him and his bro got strep on top of it, Devin didn't vomit though.

Oh geese that is terrible. Hope they get better soon.

They did a strep test on him and it came back negative.
