thieves grr
Someone got a hold of dh's truck & fuel card # and has been taking out cash advances. So all this money came out of his check and plus the charge of $6 when that person got a cash advance.
Interstate Dist probably won't reimburse us the money. They even said there were reports of that happening from other workers.
We don't know if it was a trucker or someone working at a truck stop or even what state it happened in. Intd said it will issue a new card and right now he has a loaner truck with a different #. They can't take no more money but they could have all the way up until last Sun.

I'm so sorry this happened to you, hard times make people stupid!!
Are they going to trace it down to see where the card was spent? I'm not understanding, was this his own personal truck, credit card? Or work?

It was a company gas (fuel) card for the Semi. But you can get cash advances on it too. When the card reader goes out you have to hand the card to the cashier as well as the truck # to get the pump activated.

so someone would've have to known your husbands truck # in order to use this fuel card?!! Is the truck # visible to everyone (like on the truck...). Someone must have known what they were doing when they took it cause I would have never thought that you needed a truck number for a card to work etc.
You need to tell them to trace the card, get the locations and times of when transactions were made. You may be able to get him/her on survellience camera!

They can see the truck number right on the side. Hopefully Interstate will do something about it but who knows with them.

I can't believe that they don't have a pin number assigned to the driver. We use Wright Express for our gas cards and you have to put in your pin # and the mileage on the truck to get anything with the card. Sounds like a really crappy system they have. I hope your DH gets reimbursed as I don't really think they can take it out of his pay without your DH signing a form for the deduction.

i would think the company your hubby works for could track the card-they get notices from banks and credit cards they have.
someone somewhere knows what happened, and the kind of car or truck the gas was put into-camera;s are in most every gas station now,you need to find out fast, before the tapes are put on rewind
good luck to you, hope this gets worked out soon.
