I'm 34 and I'm still scared of my Mom. If I'd of ever called her a bad name or sworn at her I'd of been knocked into the next county. She was not afraid of using the switch on me when I misbehaved and like others, I remember what I did and how I was punished so I've never done those things again. If I said anything to her even today she'd beat me down... LOL
Yippee- no swearing since I posted this! I have decided to just give her the extra boost of attention she needed. (She reads me a story at night- just the two of us.) I do think it may have been coming from another issue with her sister getting more attention due to transfering to a new school. But thank you all for the great ideas. Hopefully, I won't have to use any.
