Just frustrated
In regards to finding a job. I've put in applications to places and haven't heard anything back, I'm thinking it's because of my availability, which is tues-fri 9-5 and any time on sunday and monday. Most places want people who can work nights and saturdays, and I just can't as I have no one to watch Chloe at nights, as it is with those hours I'm imposing on my neighbor who said she'd get her from school and keep her until I get home. I'm really bummed with xmas coming up because this year I have AJ and I don't know what the hell I'm going to do. I'm too used to having 2 incomes to count on. SIGH...has the world said to hell with mothers, or parents needs for that matter?

I'm sorry.......I'm sure there is someone out there that is needing a "9 to 5" employee. Hugs to you. I'm also stressed and depressed about $$ and christmas. It doesn't look to good around here at all. My situation though, I have no one to watch my DS, I can't afford the daycare costs to go to work. I wouldn't be making much at all after daycare, cost of gas, clothes, lunches..... so I went around to some daycares filling out apps. so I can bring my DS, that way daycare is half price.
It'll be ok, sometimes it just sucks, and this is one of those sucky times. Hopefully it won't last long.

Thank you Jasmine. It's just pitiful when I know I'm qualified, if not over qualified for some of the places I applied at and it's the fact that I can only work certain hours that I'm being looked over. I mean I understand they have people there with senority and all that. Like with the Pizza Hut thing; from my understanding the guy gets ONE day off a week..but instead of hiring me who can work any day but saturday and hell even double out on sunday and monday, he's willing to overlook me just because I can't work until 11 pm

I have the same problem. I can only work Mon-Fri, in the daytime. I don't have anyone to watch the kids. I've filled out, I don't know how many apps and no one has called me back. I think it's because I can't work nights and weekends. I can't even say every other weekend because my XH isn't reliable. I don't even want to think about Christmas.

Are you ladies looking for part or full time work? Have you thought about Merchandising? If you have any retail experience, it might be the job for you. The hours are for the most part flexible, the pay is decent. You just have to look for the jobs that pay for mileage.
I work part time for P&G and have to say I love my job.
If you go to http://www.narms.com/ you can find listings for available jobs in your area for different companies. Most will be part time, but you might find some full time postitions.
Oh yeah, and toward the top, you might see something about $9.95 for a test or something, you absolutely dont have to do that. I never did, and you wont believe all the job offers I have had from there.
Be sure to sign up for the website though, they will send you emails when something new becomes available, and you will get offers for jobs.

Thank you!! When the lady called me today she asked what I was applying for, I told her at this point I'll take anything! She didn't seem to upset about my availability either, so YAY!!

Good luck with the job interview.
At this point, I am willing to work just about anything also. I do work from home. I'm a member at both those boards. Heck, I'm looking for work outside the home also now.
Licchl05, you might want to look into blogging and writing articles. I just starting doing that since my hours have been cut. It doesn't pay much, very little, but I figure every bit helps.
