Don't you just love parents who dismiss bullying as just boys being boys. This reminds me of a case that I watched last year on Judge Judy where these boys were playing a game called sack tap where one boy would sneak up another boy and hit him in his privates.
Sorry for your son.

Last year my son got to deal with a different kid grabbing his butt or coming up behind him and pretending to hump him in the halls. So, thats why this has got me raging....when is enough ---just enough?

This is just appalling and I can't imagine your son being subjected to this sexual harassment. I also wonder if it was a girl being attacked in such a way if the school would dismiss it so readily.
Please keep us updated!

I spoke with the school resource officer today, told him about the term....he immediately looked it up on youtube. I was surprised to see videos on youtube of bean dipping....But anyway, they had been told by a teacher, and were watching him already between classes. The kid who does it to him wasnt there today, but I feel better knowing that a teacher saw it and reported it, and then they police officer and his helper already had Josh's schedule and were being outside Josh's classes today and will continue to they said.

So again you are going to let the principal off the hook. Why? Things can escalate very easy and the boy doing this to your son is getting away with it. In my opinion, the principal is not handling this situation well, As a result, this bully is allowed to roam free. I would check you school handbook of rules. The handbook should be given at registration and is a wealth of information for those who read it and need it. It should outline the policy as well as course of action and how to deal with such actions. One example is tardiness. Each infraction is a in school detention. After 2 it is a saturday detention, after 5 it is suspension etc. Assualt, battery and sexual harrassment are also outlined. Start to document and follow the rules and guidelines straight to the school board. Those elected officals who hire the principal. They too need to be made aware so that they may act on your behalf, (or just to cover their butts) and interview the principal to find out why he did not handle it as it needed. Always call the police and report a battery. Let's call it what it is, and it is a crime. Parents may not be concerned except when you are sueing them in a civil action for not parenting. Depending on the age you could also sue the bully himeslf wjith his parents. I bet that boys will be boys attitude will change real quick.

I agree with this to a certain extint. Some kids, let's just put it, are ass-holes. You can be the best parent in the world and do all you can parenting them, they go to school, get around there peers, want to be cool...... and act like asses. Does it make it right? NO!!
I'm sorry your son is going through this. One of my DD's when she was younger, in ementary school none the less (such a young age), got made fun of really bad. I was at a ball game one night, I saw the little girl and her mother, and I approached the mother and told her everything what had been going on, the mother didn't even have a clue this was happening and apologized over and over, and even had her daughter say she was sorry and wrote my daughter daughter a letter apologizing.
