We all have different beliefs that we are passionate about. It's one thing to state your opinion on a subject, something completely different to bash others for their opinion. That's the fine line many of us walk. Hope that made sense

That stinks that we can't reply to a news item......

If I want to just read the news without discussing it, I'll read the newspaper or yahoo........why bother coming here.......

A bit light on the freebies, etc....these days......gotta have something else going on to keep the traffic....or else advertisers (i.e. money for the owners) will slow down as well....

I dont know about others but I never go "searching out" certain sections. I go through the "new posts" so it was never any different then any other section for me.

i agree there have been too many freebies or discounts lately and sometimes the news section is the only section getting any traffic

I do have my favorite sections of the board and with N&I closed for replies no big deal. It was a way to keep the pot stirred. Because we all know opinions will more than likely greatly differ.

Yes a member CAN see posts that have EDIT. That is no secret. What has been edited no. Unless it we before you go to it. which apparently happens or there would not be thanks under a post that just says EDIT. Which is the case sometimes.
And you can't deny there has been outright name calling. I'm not going to waste my time going thru posts to look for them. But I think everyone knows there are posts that contain them...UNLESS them now have been EDITED for viewing. I don't care about others accounts? I don't recall saying I did? Just tired of seeing the same people name calling and putting down others for disagreeing with them. Its the same ol song and dance we will have to agree to disagree.

And thats what alot of people liked to do. If they didn't like what was posted they took to "bashing" someones beliefs or opinions. Why I have no clue. So it was different from theirs. Thats what makes the world go around.

Yes, there was a lot of name calling. But you keep saying that some got away with it and you have no way to know that because you can't see who got infractions and who didn't. MANY people have gotten edited, infractions and temp bans for it, not just the ones you say are being picked on.

And if there are posts that say, 'you a beeotch'etc etc, why didn't you report them? Because if you did I or if I had seen them, they would have been edited and the appropriate action taken.

This right here is one of the reasons that forum is closed for discussion. I had thought I could leave a couple of these in OTC open, but I guess not.

So no more arguing back and forth about it. If anyone wants to leave because of it, then go on. There are several excellent debate boards out there and I'm sure a few here will send you the links.
