Ok help!!!
If my ds is lying to me, oh LORDY, he may be 29, a foot taller & 60 pounds heavier but I will smack him. I am pretty sure he is lying to me & if he is BAM! If he is lying & even thinks for one second that he is still going on vacation he had better think again! He will also be out of his grandmothers house by the time he gets back.
Does anyone know what the fine/penalty is for driving an unregistered car in the state of PA? He is telling me he got a ticket for driving an unregistered vehicle but my gut is telling me he got a DUI & if he did he is so done. Drinking & driving I WILL NOT TOLERATE & I DO NOT CARE IF HE IS 29! The car will be sold & he is OUT of my Mom's house!
My blood pressure is boiling!

if the car is in your name you can call the office of registrars off and they ll tell you if your car was reported, and if they ve ticketed it ,
the police keep records of what cars have been reported unregistrard and they dont usually give tickets , they will write warning tickets but on the first stop but if the car is in anothers name , it has to be the owner who checks.
lol sounds like you have a hard decision to make , if it is dui and its your car they can sue you if he has an accident in it while drinking, so dont let this go by with out taking action,,,,,,,,,

Tell him that you want to see the ticket. Let him know that he cannot have the car keys until he complies.

I know in my state you can get online and check out court dockets and tickets on anyone, maybe you could try that and see what he got the ticket for?

well if its your car or your mothers car,i would think that it is registered,i cant see you or your mom driving an unregisterd car.
my self i would ask for the ticket also, maybe he was speeding,i sure hope it wasnt dui,man those cost a chit load-first its paying the ticket and court cost, then they have to do classes for drunk driving and those can last up to a week and cost a chit load too,did you ask your son to see his license, sometimes they pull them on the spot, until court, and the classes are done.
good luck to you mom,i been there done that, and my son was actually not drinking, but because he had a beer splashed on him,he went down, all states are different,so i hope if your son was under the influence, they go easy on him
here when this happened to my son,he was 17,but they treated him like an adult.

Please keep in mind the price would be higher because of muncipality fees and such. ex got a ticket for it back in 2004 and i think it was more than $150 after all was said and done.

If it was a DUI he would have gone to jail and not just gotten a ticket. They have a thing where they have to sleep it off. They wont just cite them and let them go on their merry way.
Is your county sherrifs dept online where you can do an inmate lookup? I know where I live, they leave it up for a while even after the person gets out.

The car is in his name, thankfully. At 29 there would be no way I would I would have his car in my name. I have zero tolerence for drinking period but drinking & driving is beyond tolerence.
I am just highly pi$$ed off that for immaturity for a 29 year old man who acts like a child.

In Illinois you get tickets when your car is not properly registered.
In Illinois, you will get arrested for DUI, but can bond out for $100 after processing, which takes about an hour.
Me
I was busted once for DUI. I was 20 years old and that time was the only time. I learned a valuable lesson. I told no one because I was so ashamed and embarrassed by my stupidity.Maybe your son feels that way too.

In Wisc, they take you down to book you and you can call someone to come get you but they have to sign a agreement that you will be in their custody for 24hrs. If not, you sit in the drunk tank till the next day.
I do believe your son is old enough to handle whatever really happened. Sometimes, we gotta let go.
