I am just highly pi$$ed off that for immaturity for a 29 year old man who acts like a child.

I am 26, I could never imagine living at home with my mom at the age of 29. Sounds like it is time for you to kick him out of the nest mama bird. Not to be rude, but you fostered the immaturity by allowing a grown @$$ man to live at your house THAT long

Oh he isn't living with me, he is living with my Mom. There is NO WAY he would be still living at home at his age. He tries to move & my Mom starts the pity me/crying act so he ends up staying. I am quite frankly tried of the whole situation. I can't make him move, she has to do that.

Depending on which county in Florida he could have gotten a ticket (Seminole County) or gone to jail (Orange County) and the counties are next to each other. If it was a DUI he would have been in jail for a minimum of 8 hours before they would have released him whether he bonded out or the released him on his own.

Ok it wasn't a DUI. For that I would have ZERO tolerence. He was cited for not having a current registration & inspection. I saw the citation. trust me if it were a DUI i would still be kicking his arse. I am still pi$$ed at him but he is an adult & needs to work it out without my help.
I gave him a ride into work today because I was actually going that way but he would have had to call a taxi otherwise. KIDS!

I don't know where you live but where I live you would never get JUST a ticket... and the vehicle he was driving would have been impounded when they arrested him. He also would have sat in the drunk tank until he was no longer above the legal limit.

Here in RI you get a 5 day tag.. It won't get impounded nor does anyone get arrested. It has to be registered and insured and inspected in 5 days if anything like that lapses

ok, so why does he not have a current registration and inspection??? i dont get that... he's a 29 year old ADULT living with his grandma and yet he cant get his sh!t together for his car?? does he work, have a steady job and income? does he pay your mom monthly rent? i dont think you'll like what i have to say, but get his a$$ out of your moms house. i understand the "help me, oh woe is me" saga too, but if you are close cant you visit her weekly? or are there any other relatives that are close to help her out? sounds like he needs a little "tough love"
Good luck!

actually, that is part of the problem, he is not a kid. He should have his own family by now, not having his mom take him into work because he got a ticket.

Oh no no noooo this Mom does not support him nor do I like or approve of his immaturity. He has a job & makes good money. The problem is that my mother enables & allows this to happen. I have told her numerous times to kick his arse out but she prefers having him live with her so she isn't alone. I have aksed & begged her to sell her house & come live with me but she refuses.
He gives her money for rent & she gives it right back to him. They are co-dependent enablers of each others actions. I can not force him to move, she has to do that but if she does decide to move in with me, my son isn't coming along. Her response is that if she makes him move he will be homeless to which I say BULL CRAP! He is an adult, has a job & is resourceful & if he chooses to continue to make bad choices in his life & is in fact homeless that is his choice.
I have had time at work when both phone lines are ringing at the same time with her on one line & he on the other complaining about each other. My response is you are both adults make it work between you because if I have to come between you two neither of you will like what I do.
But it wasn't a DUI. A DIU I would have disowned him.
