Maybe I am being petty but
I am really upset. I am graduating college in one week ( I am really excited about this). Well my younger sister is getting married in 9 months and NONE I MEAN NO ONE in my family has acknowledged that my graduation is in a week. It is all about her and her wedding. I feel like me going to school is nothing and that it doesn't matter. It does to me but shouldn't they be a excited for me.
Like I said maybe I am being petty but I feel ignored

You are not being petty...it is hurtful to have worked so hard and not get any acknowledgement from your family.
I had the same thing happen to me when I completed my Master's Degree. Okay, yes I was an adult with a family...but I would have appreciated a card at the minimum congratulating me!
So...from me to you...CONGRATULATIONS!!! Well done! You should be very proud of yourself!

You're not being petty at all. You have a right to want them to be there for you. And congratulations it takes a lot of hard work to get an education and you should be proud of yourself for doing it.

Thank you all for telling me I am not being petty. I have really beat myself up over this. I have been told I was being self centered and did not care about my sister. Hey at least I know my virtual family loves me right!!
