i used to volunteer at a senior center.

and any time we had a party at home or church , i took the left overs to them, it was sad how gratefull they were for just the time we took to come and party with them,,,,,,,,,, and with this economy im sure they are suffering much more , with budget cuts......

I'm sorry your party turned out so lousy. I think next year I'd be forgetting ds & dh's bdays. If you do plan something like this I suggest setting up a separate email acct that no one has access to but you and request all guest RSVP to that as to keep it a surprise.

Shadowcats had a great idea w/ the left over food. I hope this week is better for you

sorry that you were disappointed with the outcome, sometimes it's those closest to us that show us the least amount of appreciation, you did an awesome thing for them and in the end that's all that really matters.

Be nice for niceness sake. Not because you expect a reward or even anything in return.

thats why i suggested the leftover party at a seniors center

all the preperations and time she spent on this gala ,,,,,,,, and the lack of response ,,,,phoey , drag the persons the party was for to it with her and make them help and believe me they ll be more appreciative of her time and efforts and how lucky they are to have someone who cared enough to even try to make it a special day for them,,,,,,,,,, and the seniors will make it hit home just how lucky they were.
and she ll get the happyness of knowing that they ll enjoy her party .
