I know that that is easy to say, but I would venture to say that in the last several years he has not acted like any human I have ever seen.

I was staying out of this and I assume you dont lead a sheltered life. How many people are you are suffer from mental illlness because he showed all the classic examples but it seems he was held above the laws of what others wouldve been arrested for doing. Like holding a baby over a railing and a few other things. I am not saddened by his death nor do I consider him the king of pop. I am saddened that others death who are trying to make awareness of a cause are getting over shawdowed.
Thats it I am getting offf my soap box and I feel truley bad for his kids who had to walk around in the clothes he had them wear and now the crap they are going to have to go thru. People forget about the important things when people die.

I think that there are probably lots of families around just like his; we only know about his because the whole Jackson clan is rich and famous. I realize that all the kids were abused; and that led to a whole host of problems when they were older. My grandmother was bi-polar, and my mother was abused terribly, and in turn it affected her relationships with the people she loved, still to this day when she is 80. I do also feel sorry for those kids. I am just rather weary of hearing day after day about Michael Jackson and how wonderful he was. I think that he was a talented musician in his day, and he may have had a good personality to the people that knew him well, but none of us knew him at all and I think that it is a little ridiculous to be crying hysterically over a rock star.

No matter who it is .. Michael, Farrah, Ed, etc etc etc they are all PEOPLE. Everyone of them had their faults, and their good points. I remember , and this was years ago.. just before the first abuse case. A woman jumped off a bridge in california with 2 or 3 kids. Michael paid for the funeral(s) of the ones that died, 1 lived I believe and he paid for counseling and a scholarship for him. He did a lot of stuff like that , and sometimes there wasnt a bunch of publicity about it.
I mean if you are tired of hearing it or seeing it.. turn the channel. Or turn the tv off. its really that easy

I agree with you. I was a fan in the late 80's early 90's when he was still "normal". Then he went all "freaky" and did things only god knows about.
As for people saying people were after his money.......I'm not a parent which is NO secret. However I recall one court case DID go to trial and of course being who he was he was aquitted of the charges and "then" they went after him for money( if I recall).
Most parents probably knew charges wouldn't stick against him. Like evitra said he got away with alot of "crap".
And its now been over a week and STILL they are talking about his death and playing it up!! MOVE on!!! It reminds me of the Anna Nicole death.

I'm curious...what is "alot of crap" that he got away with?
He was around a lot of children, but only two ever said anything? Or did I miss that there were more?
Seriously, I CANNOT imagine a child in danger being "glossed over" by our judicial system. Drugs, guns, even domestic violence against an adult, okay. But a pedophile?
As a parent, I would do anything I could to make sure I had proof. The last folks were caught in several lies. Didn't the last child admit the Dad wanted him to say things against Michael Jackson?
I don't know. I think it sucks when celebrities get away with things. My husband and I have this argument often with sports celebrities. But I also think it sucks when someone's entire career/life is ruined because of lies.

Really are you serious ? What do you think wouldve happened to me if I was seen publiclly dangling my child over a balcony?? How about all the drugs in his house that people knew about? My DD is on meds for her disease and bruises easy want know know how fast a CPS was called on me explaining why? I had to show documntation from her doctors she was questioned and her meds were written down all charges dismissed. Humm do you think if I had hung her over a railing she would be in my house?

If it was all lies then why did Michael himself tell someone that interviewed him that sleeping with boys was a beautiful thing. How many grown men do you know that admit that or do that and are not prosecuted for child molesting. If its lies then why would he say that like he thought theres nothing wrong with it. My husband said theres no way he would ever say something like that. You'd have to be crazy too. If a regular person said something like that they would have lost their kids and probably been prosecuted. Would any of you dare say that on tv where everyone can hear it

I ask the people who think that MJ is innocent, I say " Would you allow your child to sleep in the bed with a grown man? "
They look & say, "thats different"
Yeah, hypocrite, not different.
Then they want to make it a racial thing & thats even more ridiculous!
