My husband is also diabetic. He had trouble with his knee in only one leg doing that, giving out on him. It turned out to be a problem in his spine. He had surgery and it doesn't happen anymore.

so glad to hear you are both okay-and yes it is sad when we fall,that the first thing we think about ,is,did anyone see me? and we look to see if anyone did((((((hugs to you both)))))) feel better soon

I'm glad that you are ok. And last yr on Jun 3rd I feel over a whhelchair ramp in the dark and broke my ankle, thankfully hubby was there to help! I might have laid there all night. Also with the door, there's a white lube stuff you can get at the parts store, comes in a canister for applying to belts and such on the car. The is also a spray form for sticky doors, works really well. HTH

Thanks I'll tell my husband about it. And I'm glad you had someone to help you when you fell. We've been lucky since. I think my husband walked too much that day in the grocery store. His legs are weak and he stumbles a lot but catches himself.

I have cerebral palsy, but I get about without aids for now, but when I get too tired my legs get weak and I trip alot and catch myself. That night though I had gone to one of the community centers that were helping with ultils to spend the night. I had stepped from the car to toss something in the trunkand succe.ssfully done that. When I stepped back towards the car I tripped over the ramp that I couldn't see and did all kinds of amazing tricks before landing face first. At first I didn't think it was broken just badly sprained. But the xrays confirmed a break. I spent 8 weeks with a walker and a walking boot, ruined my summer but I'm alive so hey!
