i need some help... finding: update...
I finally got a chance to ask my sister what she remember about the funeral home, she told me we use to live not far from it, and that I used to go there to bury my friends, as a teenager. Stephens Funeral Home, on Conduit Blvd, on the borderline between Queens and Brooklyn. I looked it up and the name has been changed to Grace. I spoke to the funeral director, and he gave me the information I needed. My brother is buried in the Frederick Douglas Cemetery, on Staten Island. My sister kept saying something about Frederick Douglas, but she wasn't sure what it was about. She was so traumatized by our sister-in-law and didn't get any closure about our brothers death, that she just by passed it, and took care of her family of five kids and her two jobs. She and our brother were so close that when she found out he was HIV positive, and getting sicker and sicker, she had him staying at her house, and damn near lived with him in every hospital he was in and would take him back home to her house after they let him out. Our sister-in-law would only show up at the hospitals to take control of everything, and have my sister "kicked out". Our sister-in-law, Married our brother knowing he was HIV positive, but she didn't want him to live with her, so he had to live with our sister, his so-called wife did not live up to the word "wife", she just waited for him to die, so that she could get his life insurance and ssi benefits. My sister was so mad about all the things our sister-in-law did to her and our brother, (which was a lot), that she wanted to kill her. I told her leave her alone, she will be getting hers and it won't be pretty, she will suffer for the things she did, that she knew was not right, just to be greedy about some money. In case you are wondering where I was, right here at home, my sister didn't call me and tell me what was going on, cause she knows how I am when anybody mess with my family, not nice. I try to make up for things with my sister, I buy her things, and save them for the trip to see her, so it can be like Christmas, birthday, mother's day, and just because I Love You. She called me before Christmas and asked for $50.00, I surprised her and sent her a $175.00, and called her and told her. go get your money it's waiting for you, she called me crying and saying I sent her too much. To me, nothing will ever be too much for my one and only sister. TIA for all of your suggestions and for reading this post. By the way, some people always get greddy when someone dies. My mother always said "Anything that is for you, you will get it".
