How can I get a dog to stop digging in my yard?
The neighbor's dog is digging a couple of large holes in my yard, but I don't really blame her since I have a LOT of chipmunks in my yard. She focuses on 2 spots, one near my flowers and one near the septic. What can I put down to get her to stop digging?

Tell your neighbor to control their dog.

Not sure if it would work. Do dogs like garlic? Ours hates the smell and so do rabbits.

Red Pepper.
Seriously.
Sprinkle it around the area and it will deter dogs.
Only problem is that if it rains, you have to keep putting it down. But after a few times the dog should know to stay away.

I've heard not to use pepper as it can damage their noses. While its frustrating, I dont think you'd want to hurt the dog.

Nope, don't want to hurt the dog...I'll talk to the neighbors...maybe they've smartened up since their idiot son duct taped an animal trap to the bottom of my birdfeeder and they laughed it off...

I wouldn't want to hurt the dog either. I never heard that before but know several people have tried it and it definitley keeps the dogs away.

There are products you can buy to stop them. And if its not your dog I would make them reinburse you for the cost of it.

Get bigger dogs...LOL. Just kidding. I would just talk to the owners.
