Starting to panic
My 10% pay cut starts soon so I decided to spend the weekend trying to see what I can get back. It's not looking good at all.
I'll make slightly too much to get food stamps.
My mortgage company won't let me renegotiate for a lower interest rate because I'm not 3 months behind.
My utilities are a fixed rate monthly so I can' cut back there.
The credit card companies won't give me a break.
I can save a couple dollars a month by changing my auto insurance coverage.
The food banks here are running low.
Just don't know what to do.

I hope this helps as it is just a thought. around here there are alot of farms and they will let you pick and then they give you half of what you pick then they take the other half and sell it..dont know if there are farms where you are at..sending hugs and prayers.

Can you transfer your credit card balance to one of those 6 months 0% interest for six months? You'll have to look for a new one every six months until you get it paid off, but it's something to think about. I think they charge a 3% fee or something for the transfer. still saves money cause you aren't paying the monthly interest.
It's hell on the credit score, but who cares if you've got a fixed rate mortgage interest. That's how I paid ours off when DH and I were newly married.
I've been shopping on ebay for clothes. If you're patient, you can get some really good deals. I just got a pair of NEW Lee riders for 10.00 and that included shipping. That's like 1/2 price!
We're trying to protest cap and trade to keep your utilities down. Have hope! I dont' wanta see our gov screw you even more

I don't know if you have any CC's where Citibank is the financing company, but if you do you just have to call them, they are doing a promotion where if you ask for help they lower your APR to 9% for 6 months I think. My boyfriend works for them... that's how I found out.

The trick is to MAKE SURE you know what the rate will go up to after the promotional rate and don't miss the deadline. If you miss it, you're worse off than you were to begin with.
and if you use Bisquick, find the recipe on the net and make your own. Costs a little more to buy all the stuff, but then you've got like 4 boxes of bisquick and it's exactly the same. I saved a small fortune when I did that.

Sorry you are having a tough time. The only thing I could think of is really examine your grocery bills, cut out any non-essentials....they can add up really fast! Chips, cookies, expensive cuts of meat. maybe you already do this.
Also when you cook, cook larger amounts so you use the same energy to cook 3 meals. Especially large roasts, you can use the leftovers different ways and not grow tired of them.
If you have cable, cancel it.
