Computer Broken
My computer (really my dd's) broke 2 weeks ago.
Was going to take it to be repaired but she said said "No!", she would do it because she's an expert.
Well it's in pieces. I was using library but that's slower than dial up just to go thru my email so I wouldn't get in trouble at work.
Since I'm fairly poor I picked up a used one really, really cheap but it's Linux based and hard to use. At least it's a bit faster than the library.
Oh well, at least I can pay bills on line and not waste money on stamps.
Knowing my daughter, the computer will probably never be fixed.
And since I bought this one I can't afford to take in hers to be repaired not to mention that her repairs have probably done irreparable damage.

You work expects you to answer emails during home time? Unless I got paid by commission, when I leave work I leave work behind, I dont even THINK about work because one of the biggest mistakes is bringing work issues home, or brining home issues to work. Hope your computer continues to work well, and that your daughter will fix hers

I think she meant that she was checking her personal e-mail at the library so she didn't get in trouble at work.
Putting the computer back together is easy - they only go back together one way or I should say "they should only go back together one way".

Yeah, they will only fit one way, so you should be able to put it back together.

Well it's my dd's computer and she said she'd do it.
I kind of freaked when she asked for wire cutters.
So like numerous other dead computers it will sit here.
DD won't let me touch it and she might or might not get to it sometime this decade.

If she took wire cutters to it, you are definately at the very least going to need new wires/ cables inside. Your DD needs a good butt kicking for doing such a thing. The wire cutter part tells me she is definately not an expert.

I can't butt kick her because it was her computer that she loaned to me.
And it broke on my watch.
Plus she's bigger, meaner and stronger.
I actually feel bad that it broke when I had it. Plus I should have just taken it to be repaired and not told her. Silly me. I should have known better.

LOL, dont ya just hate when your kids get too big to disipline? her PC or not, I would have been mad. Wish I lived closer, I would have fixed it for ya.
My SIL did the same to my MIL, with the exception she ruined my MIL's PC with viruses and junk, she couldnt even get it to start up. After my SIL pulled the number on it, she got her DH to buy her a laptop so she would have a pc while she was staying at my MIL's.
It took DH & I about half a day to clean up all the mess SIL made, and then we had to replace the mouse and keyboard cause SIL's little hellions destroyed the oned MIL had(keys missing and mouse froze)
