It does some wonderful things. It didn't make me crazy, I was glad to have it.

This is a steroid dose pack. This is the way they are given. Steroids work fantastic for pulmonary problems, and taken for a short duration they dont have long lasting side effects. If you are supposed to take 6 pills the first day, you should space them throughout the day. You have to judge as to when you wake up and when you go to sleep, but I would take one every 2 hours.

They gave me those when I had the worst sinus infection of my life that I couldnt shake. I suffered for a month and a half before I finally went to the Dr. I was in so much pain(my teeth), the prednisone was the only relief I got.

Definately take it, you will feel so much better, I know I did.

Finally got through to my doctor after lunch today. They were surprised that dosing instructions were not on the bottle.
I should have already had 2 doses of the stuff by then. Just told me to start taking 2 when i got home from work & to take 2 at bedtime and then just go from there or wait until tomorrow to start. Not sure what to do. Can't go crazy at work since tomorrow will be a busy day.
All I know is I feel like crap & do not want to end up in the hospital.

As long as i don't grow a second head *LOL* I read the side effects...scary. Glad I only need to be on them for a week.
I have been coughing for 3 weeks already. I did lose 8 pounds though.

But seriously, it reallly will make me feel better soon???

I'm frequently on this medication for my auto-immune disease and it's benefits have outweighed the risks. I take it in a Medrol Dosepak.

This is the breakdown:

Day 1: 2 tablets before breakfast, 1 tablet after lunch, 1 tablet after dinner, 2 tablets at bedtime

Day 2: 1 tablet before breakfast, 1 tablet after lunch, 1 tablet after dinner, 2 tablets at bedtime

Day 3: 1 tablet before breakfast, 1 tablet after lunch, 1 tablet after dinner, 1 tablet at bedtime

Day 4: 1 tablet before breakfast, 1 tablet after lunch, 1 tablet at bedtime

Day 5: 1 tablet before breakfast, 1 tablet at bedtime

Day 6: 1 tablet before breakfast

I've been on it before for chronic bronchitis, chronic sinusitis, for a serious poison ivy outbreak, shingles, and the last time was last mo. when they had me on a med. I was allergic to. It is good and works the only thing I noticed when I take it is that I get pretty cranky on it.

You don't have to take the whole line of pills at the same time, you can space them out through the day. I don't feel crazy or like I'm going crazy or anything like that, just that I don't "put up" with as much as I usually do.

Yes, this medicine will help you. I've had to take it before and it never messed with me. It didn't make me crazy nor tired. Everyone reacts differently though.

It wont make you crazy but remember it will lower your immune system. You will feel better soon and your not diabetic right? It can mess with blood sugars badly. I took steroids for almost a year. I am now free for about almost 2 months Yeah me !! I hope you feel better soon those are meant to kick the arse of anything that is in your system that shouldnt be.
