This is just so heartbreaking.................
Okay we have a wild cat outside cat. Which is weird considering her mom is tame and we fed her and her brother till they were older. Anyway back to the topic. She had babies on my dh's compact tractor seat. To which we were not aware till he went out to uncover one day. He keeps it covered up so cats won't unrinate on it. As the males like to make territory around here.
My dh was going to take it to the shop to have it tested. Something was going on with the clutch. And when he saw the kittens we had to move them to a box. We did not touch them with out hands. We used our clothes etc. Anyway she must have saw us. And we put them back when he got the tractor back. However my dh had to clear out one of the eyes (it was matted down) ANd since then she kept moving them outside. We tried to put them back. Finally we left them alone. Anyway I checked on the Friday BEFORE I towed our camper to the campground. And my dh was getting wood out of the back to start the fire and low and behold there was one of the kittens!! The one that looks simese. I had to drive it all the way home. And I put it back where she had them no problem. When we came home sunday they were both up on out cement patio looking horrible, malnourished etc. The little white furball was not good at all. We syringed fed him some water and waterdown gravy out of canned food. They are old enough to eat on their own. But since she has never brought them till now, they really don't know how very well and they are very weak. Last night even the white one was moving around etc. But I got up today and He is Almost dead. I don't think I can get him to recover
I got him to drink some water and SMall amount of gravey. But he is just so weak. We tried to get another mother to take them, but her foster kitten is old enough now she doesn't feed him much either. I don't even think the kittens milk you can buy would do much good at this point. It just breaks my heart.

So sad. I hate it when things like this happen and you feel so helpless cause there is nothing you can do.

I know how you feel. A drop off cat here had six kittens about 4 weeks ago. About 2 weeks ago, I went out side and one was laying not looking right, I picked her up and she was cold to the touch. I tried to warm her and give her water, when I would give her to the mother she would drag off her other kittens. She died about an hour later. That same day another one died. Over the the next couple days 2 more died. 4 out of the 6 died. The mother cat would remove the ones that were ok and leave then a baby would die. The 2 that are left are just fine. I think the mother knew they were sick. I have no idea what was wrong with them. It is so sad to try and not be able to do anything.

Well he has died. Now the other one just keeps crying. I put a little stuffed animal in the crate with her. Hopefully once we get her back to health we can put her outside with another little one that's a bit older.......

not even a shelter will help you either because they are ferral kittens and the shelters are full of kittens.

This is so awful! I sure wish I could help.Is there a wildlife rescue around you anywhere? I couldn't read much of it cause I just can't handle things like this.
I really admire your efforts, whatever.

I'm so sorry! We rescued a puppy from the highway just to get him home and find out he was sick. He died within 30 mins. We think he had parvo.

He would have been the prettiest cat. He Was long haired White with just a little bit of orange on the tips of his ears and tail.
The one we have left looks like a siamese. And she meows ALOT. But we feed her every few hours. She is doing very well. Thanks everyone for your thoughtful responses!!
