Lakeside... is sooo slow. - Big Big Forums

Stupid me, a couple of months ago, I painted my bathroom a BRIGHT yellow. Way to bright, so that it looked like you had a sun burn just walking in there. Well I painted it this past week a camel color, and I LOVE the color. I searched ALL DAY Friday for what I wanted to put with it. I was so tired, and come home and looked inside the lakeside catalog and found exactly what I wanted. http://www.lakeside.com/details.asp?...ath-Collection
Well I ordered it that evening, well they just deducted payment from bank account yesterday and today it says ready to ship. I call them and they said its scheduled to ship the 24th, but could take 5-10 business days just to ship. They are so slow, especially for the amount they charge for shipping. I guess its me being so impatient, but hurry already I want my bathroom finished.

I've never ordered from them but it's good to know that they're on the slow side...was going to order some things for Christmas, will have to do that in plenty of time.

I hope it comes sooner than what they're saying...I hate waiting for things I ordered to arrive.

I think they are too.

I just want something kinda plain and simple. Its a small bathroom, and this seems simple and not overwhelming. Theres nothing like trying to redo a room and waiting and waiting.

They have great prices on most things, and the stuff is pretty decent. But shipping gets you.

I have ordered form both lakeside and abc distibuting..they are both really slow, in fact I won't even order from them anymore because I am too impatient.

well, STILL waiting for even the status to change. It still says ready to ship. I think I would feel better if it changed. Make me think something was going on at least. Rather than my stuff sitting in a box somewhere waiting to come to me. This is rediculous.

yes Lakeside is LTD.

the quality of the product that you receive is not as good as the quality of the pictures in their catalog!

most of it is cheaply made and from China.

I've been ordering from ltd and abc for years (they are now one and the same). They don't require payment upon ordering. Lakeside does. It's all the same stuff tho. I have been pleased w/ 90% of the stuff I've ordered and I've ordered tons of it. I had a hip tall, corner table w/ a lil drawer for years! It was great quality (gave it away tho). I've had a couple broken items (shipping accident) and they are great about sending out replacements. My only beef is that LTD (who I use) has stuff on backorder. HEck you can order it the day the catalog comes out and it's on backorder. I've been waiting on a Christmas gift I ordered in July and it's on backorder until 10/21 and then it'll probably get cancelled. oh well.

I ordered from LTD (or maybe it was Lakeside) once-yrs ago. The status kept on saying "processing" and then "ready to ship" for WEEKS. Finally one day it just said "cancelled". When I called to find out why it was cancelled, they said they didnt know-it just was. VERY helpful-NOT! Never attempted to order from them again.

I called them a bit earlier, and asked what the hold up was, and she said that it was noted to go out UPS as of yesterday and will take 10-15 days for them to get it. I asked why it took so long and she said the same thing over, couldn't answer me. Then I asked how they can can my money out of my account so fast, but cant ship. And she goes on telling me that its pending. So what if its pending, I cant touch it. They have a hold on it. To me its the same. Then she got snippy and asked if she could help me with anything else. Before I was done talking. I said NOPE and hung up fast, before I lost my temper. lol I know its petty, but I want my stuff. I can understand 2 weeks, or a few days after that. But this is driving me nuts.
