Do a nice job, I'm sure you can count on them for repeat business. Probably fairly soon.

Ok From everything I am hearing there is a poll on how long it will last. OH I was just on the phone with her and said to her that we needed to set up a table for gifts and she said "We are NOT accepting gifts ONLY money and you can tell the guest that when they bring in gifts!!'

What a darling she must be.
Do you really want to be associated with that train wreck? I am afraid I'd be coming down with a serious case of something that lasts about three weeks.
Good luck!

Did you let her know that no one is required to bring a gift? That she should be glad someone thought enough of them to even come to the wedding, let alone bring any kind of gift?

Maybe suggest she set up a ticket booth (JD themed, of course) and charge the guests admission?

I have been looking at an elequent way to do this today and think I have actually come up with one. But I will post pics for everyone to see

You know, depending on whether she was 17 or 18 when she got pregnant, there is a word for that and it's not boyfriend and girlfriend. I personally feel sorry for the girl. Where is her mom? What will she do with the gifts brought in if they aren't accepting gifts? Does the world seem crazier every day? I do hope you tell us about this wedding and the marriage. I would pay to see it. I'd even put on stockings if I had to. LOL

Considering this is the grooms 5th wedding and he is marrying a friend of his child...they shouldn't be doing a big wedding anyway. It's just my opinion but they should be having a quiet wedding with only a few guests. I can see now why your family is not elated by this. My ex was married four times and I was to be his fifth, man am I glad I woke up!

IMHO I think the marriage is doomed to begin with, 5 marriages for him and she's immature great obviously he couldn't find what he wanted in the first 4 marriages....well maybe he picked her cause he could make her into what he wanted. Hmm then again maybe I am totally wrong about this marriage!

Exactly what I was thinking. Unless she's almost 21 and their child is barely 2 and she got pregnant immediately after sleeping with him then he's a child molester. Heck, even if she had managed to pass her 18th birthday before sleeping with him, he was still a 38yo man with kids her age. Ewww.

LOL, I am sorry to laugh, but I just cant get this song out of my head after reading this post:
Quote:
They were farm kids way down in Dixie
They met in high school in the sixties
Everyone knew it was love from the start
One July in the midnight hour
He climed the water tower
Stood on the rail and painted a 10ft heart
In John Deere green
On a hot summer night
He wrote Billy Bob loves Charlene
In letters 3 foot high
And the whole town said that he should have used red
But it looked good to Charlene
In John Deere green
They settled down on 80 acres
Raising sweet corn,kids and tomaters
They went together like a hand and a glove
On a clear day from their front yard
If you look and know what to llok for
Off to the east you can still read his words of love
In John Deere green
On a hot summer night
He wrote Billy Bob loves Charlene
In letters 3 foot high
And the whole town said the boy should have used red
But it looked good to Charlene
In John Deere green
Now more then once the town has dicovered
Painting over it ain't no use
There ain't no paint in the world that'll cover it
The heart keeps showing through
In John Deere green
On a hot summer night
He wrote Billy Bob loves Charlene
In letters 3 foot high
And the whole town said that the fool should have used red
But it looked good to Charlene
In John Deere green
Ahh,paint it green boy
In John Deere green
On a hot summer night
He wrote Billy Bob loves Charlene
In letters 3 foot high
And the whole town said the boy should have used red
But it looked good to Charlene
In John Deere green
John Deere green
