Stupid School

School has been in session for 3 weeks and my nephew has had his schedule changed 6x's. The first time was because they didnt have him in football so they needed to change it. No big deal. Then I swear every other day he comes home with a different schedule. Today was the last straw. Now I have take off work and go have it out with his counselor and get this taken care of.

How do they expect a child to learn when they are having to change classes every other day and each teacher works at a different pace and on different things.

What are the excuses they're giving for changing it multiple times?

they do that for the first week or so at my girls' school, they say it's to balance the classes but who knows why they really do it. I know school hasn't even started yet (OMG it's so close though!) and my youngest daughter has to have her schedule changed once school starts. They have her in choir for 3 classes in a row but no math or english.

No TPS. They say its because they keep getting new kids and that some of the classes are over crowded. I think they need to get their heads out their behinds and get their act together.

Aside from changing to include the football, there is absolutely NO excuse for this. They know the class loads long before school starts and it should be worked out then - not while the children are in session. Overbooked classes? Don't let hte late comers in to those classes, sorry, they're full, choose another.

I am not from the same area.... BUT it happens everywhere.
And, to everyone!!!
My husband is a teacher: 3rd grade this year.
He was supposed to teach 2nd grade again: but too many 3rd graders registered, so he was bumped to 3rd 2 weeks BEFORE school started.
His class schedule has been changed 4 times since school started on July 21.
His conference period has bounced, PE and Computer classes have changed times, lunch even moved!

I am SO confused... I have no idea how the parents of 3rd graders are handling it! They are in ONE class a day, except for 45 minutes of PE, and 45 minutes of computer.

Good luck with with everything!

Spoke with the counselor this morning. She said the principal is the one who went in and changed the schedules

Like I told her, how do you expect a child to learn when the adults in charge can't get their act together. She got offended but I really dont get a rats behind.
