In need of new internet service!

I am really ticked off to put it mildly at my internet service. Haven't been able to get online in a week. I kept calling them and even once they hung up on me ! If I was anywhere near India or where ever they are I swear I would of drove on down there. They kept telling me it was my computer. I know darn well it wasn't. Once they even told me my phone wasn't working right lol, I asked them how I was calling them then? I swear they must have some real supid people where they are. I have friends and family in this same area with thier service and they couldn't get online either.
Well my dh called them today. Ended up telling them we are finding a new provider. Any suggestions? Hopefully I will be able to get back online.

I love my Verizon. If I ever have any problems they are very quick to suggest sending someone out. They started using Indian operators and I hate it. I keep calling different numbers to get a native speaker. I dont trust the Indian operators as one already lied to me...

Other than that. I really love Verizon.

They say the easiest way to get to an English speaker is to press 2 for spanish. I don't know, I've yet to try it... read it here though.

Wish I could recommend mine, but it sucks major flea lint. Don't go with Centurytel.

mine internet kept disconnecting me(i have verizon) and if I shut of the dsl router when I went to turn it back on Id have no internet connection so Id have to go thru the modem settings through verizon(yeah after them telling me how to do it I can do it myself) this last time I spoke to a mr miller(who sounded like he was from india) and he told me I needed a new router and he would have one sent to me. a week goes by no router so I call again and explain to yet another person (english this time) what was going on she informs me that the order wasnt placed correctly and shed place the order and it would be here by ups in 2 days. waited a week and nothing so I called a third time and got another rep(this one from india also) and had to tell my story yet again and got the same story theyd be sending one out waited almost another week. nothing finally I had had it so I call back and this time got a perfect english speaking person and she informed me that I didnt need a new router the router I had was for some reason losing its password so she walked me through all the steps( which I already knew how to do) but she made me go an extra step and since then I have had no connections problems or disconnect problems since then/
MELTODD: if your family couldnt get online either then the outage was probably caused by your internet provider on their end.can your family connect now? if not look up(do a search) whatever connection you have like say dsl providers (if you have dsl) or cable internet providers,etc and see what is listed and call these places and see if they are available in your area sometimes the site will say it is but when you call it isnt. so see which one has better rates or what not and go from there also dont know your budget but they do have satellite internet from hughesnet.com i think it is and although they seem expensive to me they may not to others.

I have clearwire. the only thing I don't like about it is that I can't get the router to get a good signal downstairs. Has something to do w/ the angle of the house/trees and where they towers are. So I just have to use it upstairs until I get a wireless router.

Their CS skills were amazing! Got a English speaking operator right away, very helpful. Here you can sign up at best buy or call in.
