Unhappy Morning sickness!! More of a whine than vent.

Ok I am in my second trimester, and when I started my second trimester I got the dreaded morning sickness. I have tried everything my doctor told me to try to relieve it, but nothing is working. And it only happens to me in the morning, then I feel awful for the rest of the day. I should be thankfull its only then, but why would I get it in the second tri? Has anyone else got it in the second trimester? Did anything you try help?

Re: Morning sickness!! More of a whine than vent.

You can get it at any time. For my 1st and 3rd pregnancies I had it from the beginning all the way to the very end of my 2nd trimester. Even after entering my 3rd trimester, I still have my moments, but nowhere near as bad. The best thing I've done was to eat several small meals throughout the day...pretty much never allowed myself to get hungry. I even noticed cutting back on dairy products and cutting out coffee completely helped me. Of course, I didn't really need the caffeine anyway. Good luck!

I wish I could cut back on dairy LOL.. All I crave is cheese and milk, which my doctor says I am still not getting enough of. I hate drinking milk, but when I crave it, I can drink almost a whole gallon in 2 days. I tried the crackers thing, didnt work, I used to love crackers, and now I cant stand the taste of them, yuck. Thanks for the advice on the small meals though, I will have to give that a shot.

Re: Morning sickness!! More of a whine than vent.

My sister stays sick from about her 6th week, until she delivers more so from her 6th week, until about her 20th week...and she has BAD morning sickness....she can take vitamin B and that helps her a little....my mom found her something called a PREGGY POP, she found them at a Babies R Us, they are suckers/hard candies, and she said that they helped her alot. You might want to see if you can find those. I've eaten those as well, I get sympathy sickness when she get pregnant....

Re: Morning sickness!! More of a whine than vent.

I had morning sickness ALL DAY, EVERYDAY until my 4th month....then it eased up. I never actually threw up or anything. I was just extremely nauseated....which I believe was worse for me. One of my midwives told me to eat cheetos. It actually eased up for a bit, so you may try that if you haven't already. I hope you are feeling better soon!

Re: Morning sickness!! More of a whine than vent.

May I ask when you take your Iron pills?

I got sick from these and had to take the about an hour before dinner. That way, by the time they were going full blast into my system, I was sleeping, thus aleviating morning sickness. The crackers helped, but only when I woke SLOWLY! No more jumping out of bed - try laying still for 10-15 minutes before actually rising. Watch the morning news in bed or something, then slowly rise.

Re: Morning sickness!! More of a whine than vent.

I had bad morning sickness with our 1st daughter & I was a manager at a Wendys resturant working from 7am til 3pm. I had morning sickness from 6am til about noon for the 1st 4 months. I would get sick so much & so bad that I had the red splotches around my eyes from the blood vessels. It was horrible & saltines seemed to ease it a bit but not much.
