Yep! They can get any social service that is available to an american citizen, including SSI.

There is a shopping center down the street from me that caters only to the hispanic population here. They have all kinds of shops and clubs and clothing stores (hooray for the LEGAL hispanic business owners!) but there is also an office there, that until last year was selling fake documentation to illegals and helping them fill out paperwork to recieve state benefits. For the longest time, we couldn't figure out why there was a tourbus always parked inthe center.... they were literally picking illegals up and dropping them off at that office. Luckily it was shut down, but you KNOW that it is still going on.

I know I come across as a harsh, nasty hateful person, but I live on a street where 4 of 9 homes are owned by a hispanic family... I like 3 of them and we all get a long wonderfully! My neighbor directly to the east of me, just recently brought his cousins family up from mexico on some kind of work program.. LEGALLY. they are very quiet and we all watch out for each other (just as neighbors should) they do like to party every now and then, but its mostly in the daytime when they are loud and then at night, they are very respectful to the "hood". Its the illegals that I don't like. State resources are being depleated and taxes are going up to cover them. If you are an american citizen in a time of need and getting social services, then I gladly pay my taxes, but when I know that ther are people who are here illegally, using my tax money to live off of, I want to vomit everytime I pay taxes.

Response to CATHYCH........Yes, I am very full of venom. I have worked all my life and paid my taxes every year. NEVER have I cheated on my taxes and I do NOT like people coming to MY country and not paying taxes and being able to take advantage of all the programs that my taxes paid for. DID YOU SEE THE MEXICAN FLAGS AT THE RALLY IN LOS ANGELES?????????????? If they want to live in the UNITED STATES and they think this is such a great country, better than the one they came from, then HOLD UP THE AMERICAN FLAG at your rallies. The majority are not even legal so why even let them have a rally...........Who authorized a permit for ILLEGAL immigrants to have a rally which have to have police presence and the sanitation department to clean up their damn litter, and by the way, have you noticed that there is an abundance of litter on the roadways in the past 10 years. The graffitti all over the place. Yes, I am full of venom and pi--ed that these illegal immigrants are allowed to take anything they want and give absolutly NOTHING back to this country. They don't even want to learn english. I still say, send them all back where they come from.

I too am disgusted by the flock of illegals into the US. There has to be a way to at least curb some of this and our government needs to figure it out.

This issue is especially raw to me because of an incident that happened in my family a few weeks ago. My Aunt who lives in Greenville, SC was on her way to work one morning when a car pulled out of a parking lot directly in front of her. It happened so fast, she didn't even have time to slow down. She T-boned the vehicle. The man driving was Hispanic as was his passenger. Once the men realized they were not severely injured, they fled the scene on foot. Come to find out, these guys had just stolen the vehicle they were driving. To this day, they still have not charged the men. Even though they were found, they claim that they were passengers in the car and "some woman" that they did not know was just carrying them to work. It seems that the SC Highway Patrol doesn't feel that they have a strong enough case against them, so they are just letting it go! You would think they could at least be charged with leaving the scene of an accident! But no, "they don't speak English and they may not be aware of our laws." I say tough SH*T, if you want to live here, you need to know what you legally can and cannot do. Do you think if we committed a crime over in Mexico that they would just drop it because we may not happen to know the laws? I think not. Personally, I think they should hold the men in jail on hit and run charges until they can remember who was really driving the car.

So now my Aunt is going to have to go through months and months of painful therapy and loss of work to over come her crushed knee that had to be reconstructed, her leg that was broken in three places, her three cracked ribs, broken foot and broken ankle. And since there was no insurance on the stolen car, my Aunt has to hope that her attorney can somehow manage to wave a magic wand to get her personal insurance company to cover all the mounting medical bills, which have already surpassed $200,000. In the meantime, she is bound to a wheelchair, unable to work and in danger of permanently losing her job because they say she cannot be out longer than 6 months or they will have to fill her position. The doctor's say they estimate it will be at least 10 months before she is well enough to return to work.

So yeah, I think it is time for our government to get a handle on things.

I'm in Southern Cali and have three healthy 20 something boys (my son's friends) staying at my house right now because they can't find steady work. All three have been looking for work and are applying everywhere they can think of and will do just about anything, washing dishes, digging ditches, whatever. Problem is, they are American born citizens and don't speak Spanish so they don't qualify for these low paying unskilled worker jobs. One boy consistantly gets calls back because his last name is Parilla, a Mexican surname, however, as soon as they find out that he is an English speaking, American-born Anglo they lose interest in hiring him. Kids out here can't even dream of one day owning a home, anything that would be in their price range is snatched up by illegal immigrants. So I find myself sheltering teenagers that have no place to go and few chances of finding a job. We are the last English speaking family on our block, they chased all the English speakers out and we are outta here in a couple months too, we are going to leave Mexifornia to the illegals. I'm tired of waking up and finding spray painted gang tags all over the street and I'm tired of dealing with people that pretend they don't speak a word of English when it's convenient and only understand the word 'Gratis?' Don't think it won't happen in your neighborhood, California may be taken over first, but the wave is moving east and gradually taking over this country. One day English will no longer be spoken by the majority in the United States, Spanish will be the first language here, so everybody better brush up on their high school Spanish if they want to be understood in their own country. I am harsh and bitter yes, I am not politically correct, yes, but I was born in So Cali and have watched my beautiful state get trashed and opportunities for our children be taken away while our government stands by and watches silently and we all try to be so darn politically correct. We don't need any more welfare cases or dishwashers here, we have enough of those, and it's time to secure our borders. They sure as heck wouldn't let us do it to their country!

"The disrespect these people show for our flag is consistent with the disrespect they show for our laws and our culture," said Glenn Spencer of American Patrol.
As he approached to take the photo at left, a group of Mexicans and others thought he wanted to take their picture, so they posed for him, totally oblivious to the significance of the flags lying on the ground in front of them (see photo).
Spencer also reported that rally organizers walked on the flags as they loaded their signs after the rally.

this is sooooooo true! whenever we are out, like the mall or whatever, they will be in groups, in the way, and if you say "excuse me" they give you dirty looks and pretend they don't know what you are saying. I have proven (to my daughters embarrassment) that if you say something like "what idiots" or "stupid be-otch" they understand that just fine and will yell back at you in english. amazing!!!

Not everyone at the really was hispanic, but it just goes to show how much respect some american citizens have for the flag as well. They want to rally to let illegals in, but they don't care enough for their own country to keep the flag off the ground

I used to do cost accounting for Ann Cole and Catalina swimwear in Santa Ana, CA. EVERYBODY that worked in the factory was an illegal alien. Immigration would come in every couple months and transport a few back to Mexico, but they would be right back in a few days with a brand new green card and new identity, no problem. Of course the employer knew what was going on, but it was cheap help and they didn't have to bother with benefits. I will not buy Ann Cole or Catalina because of this. We need to crack down on companies that exploit illegals and take away jobs from Americans. Of course, many will simply farm their work out to Asia for cheap labor and materials, but WE DON'T HAVE TO BUY THEIR PRODUCTS! I had to ban my beloved Levi 501's a few years ago when Levi Strauss moved all their manufacturing to Asia and took away jobs here, I won't shop Walmart because of their sordid hiring practices and the way they have chased every little mom and pop market out of business. It is a small thing, I know, but if we don't buy from these companies maybe we can make a small dent in the hiring of illegals or the practice of farming out our production to foreign countries. I also totally agree with everyone that said VOTE!!!

I totally agree.. I try so hard not to buy from companies knows for using Illegals and I try to buy only American Made, which is kinda an oxy-moron now - a -days, knowing that just because it was made in America doesn't mean "Americans" made it.


I'm probably the meanest when it comes to illegals in stores , who get pushy and have instant attitude, I'll tell them right to there face that they need to show some respect or I'll call INS. I have no problem pushing them or their 14 kids out of my way.

They do in MEXICO have " How to get into the US & Prosper " Handbooks! The Mexican government wants Mexicans over here, earning money & using up all our resourses, govenment programs etc..

I know that alot of you will disagree with me, but I have as an American the right to say it, but if they want to come over and work for us, they should be mandatorily sterilized. The reason that there country & most 3rd world nations are so f-ed up is that they have babies like crazy & have no way to feed or cloth or take care of all those people, thats why its so bad there, there are just too many damn people!

I also, love that now its Spring Break.. How many of you, or people that you know are sending your kids south of the border for Spring Break.. That just drives me crazy! Oy-Vey...
