What the heck is this? So wierd!

This happened to dh this morning, and it is so wierd. We can't figure out what happened????

Dh wears glasses, has for 30 years. The pair he has now he got a year ago, and fit, and feel fine. Anyway, when he takes them off, he has a little red spot on each side of the bridge of his nose, where the glasses lay the most. Nothing painful, just a spot. This morning he takes the glasses off to shave, he says he rubbed the bridge of his nose, then went to turn on his shaving cream dispenser. He then screams for me to come help him. I go in there, and one of the spots is spewing blood . I mean it was really coming out. I freak, and ask if he cut himself, ect, and he said no, he just did what I previously typed. I get him a cloth, and he put pressure on it, but it took about 5 minutes to stop bleeding. He had NO swelling, pressure, or lump AT ALL before, no pain, and the real weird thing is there is no cut AT ALL on the bridge of his nose either. I just talked to him, and he says it hasn't bled since, and says it feels okay. Does anyone have the foggiest idea how someone can bleed that much, without any kind of opening(except for a pore, maybe). For no obvious reason?? Help!

See a doctor asap. My hubby had something similar and now we find he has melanoma (skin cancer).

old wives tell if you get something that wont stop bleeding , get a tea bag (make sure it is regular, not decaffanted) and wet it and hold it to it. Tea has a vasoconstior in it.

Re: What the heck is this? So wierd!

My guess is the bruising caused the skin to be damaged in that area and it broke easily and the excessive bleeding is from the bruising but that is just a guess I would definitely have a dr. look at it, no way to be sure it is not dangerous without doing that.
