Angry Fort Dix Burger King: Have it your way .... NOT!!!

OK, I've just about had it with this place. We went commissary shopping, and decided to use the drive thru for lunch, as little DD was home alone (she's 12). Mind you , the choices here are rather limited, and we are fairly rural, so this was the quickest for us - McD's, Wendy's. That's our other choices because the other two places make us all sick. Well any how....
The drive thru is a bit on the busy side, after all it was 11:30. We ordered three meals, one with onion rings, one sandwich without the lettuce and tomato, and the three drinks to go with the meals. We get to the window, pay the little boy, and he tries to hand the drinks into the car. DH asks for a drink holder. The boys response "But you only have three drinks, and the holders hol two apiece." OK bub, you're not off to a good start....
He hands us the bag of food, and after past experiences with them, I check the bag - there is only two fries and two sandwiches. DH tells him, "WWe're missing a sandwich and onion rings.". His response "Which sandwich?".
So then, I have to dig through the teeny tiny bag all this food is in and get to the bottom for the sandwiches. We tell him, and he gets another bag with a sandwich and onion rings...... Wrong chicken sandwich - we ordered the tender crisp bacon ranch, and he hands us the crappy long processed chicken. So I give the sandwich back and ask for the correct one. Little boy's response is "step in side you're holding up my drive thru." HELLO???????????? WE are using the drive thru.
DH tells him, give me the right sandwich. Little boy says "move out of the way, you're holding up my window." DH tells him to give him the right order.

At this point, little boy says to "talk to his manager he didn't care."......

So we did. Had to pull around to the other side of the building, go in, talk to the manager, and he blessed us with fresh fries and onion rings, and the right sandwich, states he'll deal with little boy after the rush.(Yeah, right, sure you will)....
We get home at 12:30. DD gets her sandwich, and guess what - they screwed it up!!! No cheese, no bacon, just sauce. DUMB BUTTS!

I hope someone from that place reads this and realizes what idiots they are..... Just because it isn't the best place to work does not mean screw people over because you're miserable....

People just don't care. Managers at those kind of places are usually happy to have their employees just show up. The kids that work at our fast food restaurants in my area have the worst attitudes and can't seem to get a thing right. We used to be affraid a bad work record would follow us... they know for the most part employers cannot give poor references and frankly don't care anyway. Sorry you were so irritated.

Re: Fort Dix Burger King: Have it your way .... NOT!!!

I personally would call their corporate office and complain.
My DH hates going places with me to eat because if it is not the way I ordered it I complain.

If I am paying for it , it should be made the way I asked for it. I don't care if it bothers them or not. I do not pay my good money for wrongly made sandwiches or cold french fries. JMO

Re: Fort Dix Burger King: Have it your way .... NOT!!!

they guy at the window wasn't at fault. the person at the window on hands out food, and depending on the store set up, they might handle the money. someone else bags the food. they hand out the bags in the order they get them. they aren't supposed to check the bags, the bagger is. and most places will tell you to pull around and come in if your order is messed up really badly. they have to get each car through drive through in a certain number of minutes. it's 3 here.

Maybe so but IMO the kid at the window was out of line for being rude. He obviously needs better customer service training.

[quote=bribella]I personally would call their corporate office and complain.

My husband was in restaurant management for a number of years. If a problem can't be corrected with the manager on duty or the general manager, get in touch with a corporate/district manager. Corporate managers don't like to receive complaints & they will investigate the complaint.

Re: Fort Dix Burger King: Have it your way .... NOT!!!

THat is too bad, I wouldn't have moved. I've done this at Wendys when they had NO FRIES at noon. Hello, maybe some people like fries during lunch hour?? Well they asked me to pull up until the fries were done for their customer service rating but I just sat right there! Ticked them off I can tell you! If you get crappy customer service at a drive up window sit there, it'll bring down their customer service score. BTW I never go to Burger King or McDonalds because they are absolutely horrid, Wendys is pretty good.

Re: Fort Dix Burger King: Have it your way .... NOT!!!

I'm here near Wrightstown, so going to the opposite side of the base would have been out of the question. We tried not to move, but these people are so quick to call the MP's, and this is really not something you want trouble over with the military, so we drove around. But you know what, I will call the corporate office, as well as AAFES (they are who runs it on base) and file numerous cmplaints.
We try to be understanding, but after months off, we decided to try them again, and look what happens. Last time they ROYALLY screwed up the order, and nothing was what we ordered.
I understand that the drive thru is supposed to be quick turn over, but being deliberately rude was uncalled for even during a rushed period. There are alot of other people that would be glad for the opportunity to even have a job, and here's this cocky little kid...
Gotta stop before I say something to get me chastised by the mods. Anyhow, this just plain should not have happened.
