Just had this happen to me in a store parking lot at about 5pm...

OK it is 6 days til Christmas...Your in a hurry to fight the crowds...Why? In the meantime you left your car running, lights on but no-one in the car.

Do you want a car to come back too when you are done shopping?

Next time take the moment to turn off the car, take the keys with you and lock your doors...thier are many people just wanting that chance to make a quick buck by stealing your car.

Maybe they had a remote starter? My car's lights turn on when I use my remote starter....

oh yup i've seen this to just here the other day was a car running in parking lot with no one in it. seems crazy to me .. but then my mom always leaves her truck unlocked and that seems crazy to me too.


oh how wish i had one of those automatic starts for my truck .. then it would be nice and warm for me if i had to go out in cold.

I live in a smaller town and you see that alot here. They leave there cars running while they run into the post office or convience store. Not me, keys go with me and I usually lock the doors as well.

Everybody does that here too. Actually, it makes sense because it gets so cold that your car might not start back up if you turn it off!

I personally will leave the car running & then lock the door. I figure if they want to steal my old hunk of junk so badly that they pry the door open - please take it! I know I could get a much better car with the insurance.

I only leave it on int he morning to start it up when its frosty and even then im pretty watchful of it. I'd for sure never leave it on though in public even for a minute just because im sure someone would drive off with it. Like if my car wsn't that great i wouldnt worry so much maybe but mine is ac ar id never want to lose.
