Little Sis is going to prison, a blessing in disguise?
I really need to vent, but it's out of sadness, not anger. I put her out of my life a couple years ago because of her thievery and lying and using and just being an all around bad person. Last Spring I found that she had used my name when stopped by the police and my license was revoked and a warrant put out for my arrest. I pressed charges, turned out it was small fish compared to what else she had frying. She already had a dozen warrants, a couple of them felonys, when they picked her up in January for opening credit card accounts in peoples names, another felony, they tied that one in with my case for some reason and we go to court next month, jury trial, I am on call for most of June. My mom bailed her out of jail this last time, and somehow, someway, I was convinced by others that she needed me so badly that I had to let her back into my life. I'm sure some of you will be disappointed in me when you learn that I let her back in. I did take precautions, I put a lock on my bedroom door, bought a lock box and put all jewelry, savings bonds, SS cards, etc in it, I hid my purse, checkbook and extra keys. I've seen her maybe six times since January, and gosh darn it, she managed to get me for something every single time! We both live in So Cali, she's an hour away and would come down and spend the night. The first time she came over after two years, she pulled my ex-husband (present housemate) aside and said she was broke, and didn't even have gas money to get home, he gave her $40. She turned right around, walked in my room, and gave me the same story, I gave her $20. It's always something like that, she gets me every time. This last time was too much though, she came down exactly two weeks ago, I made the stupid mistake of falling asleep watching 'About Schmidt' and she went in my unlocked bedroom and stole exactly 1/2 of my fresh prescription of blood pressure pills. Why? Because she's a meth freak, although she would tell you that she's bi-polar and the state even confirrms that and sends her a check every month because she has an excuse to be a rat.

I am sorry your sister hurt you like that. Maybe this will open her eyes up and change the way she does things. Once she is in jail she will never want to go back. I have never been to jail myself, nor do I want to go there. I know it probally breaks your heart to see her go to jail, but like you said, it may be a blessing in disguise..

I feel sorry for you. I know what your going through i have an older sister that is the same way. she does drugs in and out of jail. she even will tell you jokes about her visits to county. she will brag how she works the system. she has stolen from me lots she even stole my dad wedding bands my dad had put his and my mothers bands on a chain after she died . one year latter sis took them and traded them for drugs. i could go on but i think i would break the keyboard . plus nobody would read the soap opera. good luck do tuff love like i do now. all you can do is stay on the side lines till she hit complete bottom and wants help.

You have tried to help but she has never tried to help herself. Maybe some jail time will make a difference, maybe it won't. But you know your sister and you know that she can't be trusted to be out in the public.
I wish that she would get better and get clean and stay clean. For you, I can only hope that you will be able to let her go if she doesn't make the effort to get the help she needs.I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.

Re: Little Sis is going to prison, a blessing in disguise?
My older sister did the same thing to me. She gave my name and social # to the police when she had an accident, she even registered my name with the hospital. When I got there, they arrested her,(she had warrants).
The same thing goes on with my sister, she takes and takes (money) till you say no and she moves on. when she hits rock bottom she comes flying back for me to rescue her, and I always do.
She has spent a year behind bars and it did no good. It is her life path, and it is one she chose. She does not wish to do any better.
Does all this sound familar???
All you can do is try to protect you and your family and know that you have done all you can. WE both need to learn how to say no, and call it tough love, so they can get the hint.
I wish you luck, cuz I have been there, and it is hard.
Just hang in there and I am sure time will help.

i am so sorry to hear about your little sister,it's so hard to see someone
you care so dear for having a hard time in life, the sad part is they don't
even realize how much they are hurting their loved ones',they only
think about getting what they need,my heart goes out to you,she will
be better off in jail, she will have plenty of time to think about her
life and family, hopefully when she gets out she will be a better more
caring sister to you, another thing too is,she will not be around those
same friends( or so called friends) that are a bad influence on her,
good luck and god be with you.

Not to sound dumb, but what does blood pressure pills have to do with meth?
Can you get high or something on blood pressure pills?
