This is what I would go after personally. Even if the amount is a felony offense, if it's a first offense it's doubtful they'll do much time in jail at all. Identity theft on the other hand, seeing as it's going on terribly right now, is probably far more painful a sentence. I could be wrong tho.

if they went to OHIO, it will all depend on if your state is willing to go to Ohio and pick them up if they are arrested. If so the warrant will go into a national data bank and if they are stopped for a traffic stop or something AND they are run through the system then they will be detained until your state says if they will come and get them or not.... take about 10 minutes, since your state has to decide where they are willing to pick him up from and where they aren't.
