    Another snow day? (sobbing openly)

Someone please take my hand...another snow day. They must be expecting a lovely day in hades, because they actually cancelled classes at my daughters college, too. Great, both kids home today. At least we get to trek to the orthodontist at lunchtime!

rlynn - do you live in old Hilliard or out in the new part? I lived in Cabot Cove for a while when my son was little.

My kids have had so many snow days that in two weeks when they have their "WINTER BREAK" (like they need that) they don't get the full week off now - only 3 days, and they also added another 2 days at the end of the year.
Plus there was 2 other days in between now and June that the kids were supposed to have off but don't know, I will have to look on the letter again that the school sent home to see when that was.
The city next to me just cancelled their winter break all together -
wish they would do that hear.....

lol........my kids would kill for a snow day too, every morning they look outside hoping to see some snow on the ground! It only takes a little skiff of snow here to close the schools. This morning though they were hoping that the flood warning we have would keep them home, I know to the north (in TN) they were announcing school closings due to flooding. I haven't gotten over having them home for almost 3 weeks at Christmas yet so I hope the rain stops!

I wish they would have cancelled school today..This morning, it wasn't snowing, but we had a forcast for 3-5 inches. When I dropped my son off his teacher said to keep a lookout for school closing reports becuase she was sure they would get out early. By 9 it was really coming down. about 1 it stopped, but started again by 2. By the time a got the kids and started for home it had begun to turn to ice..we are now having an ice storm...EVERY other school in the surrounding areas were eaither closed, or ended classes by 11 a.m. except here..I have heard from other people that used to work at the school here, that the reason they don't closes school, even on days they should, is becuase most of the the teachers don't want to have to stay longer in the summer..we have had 2 snow days the entire year, but should have had at least 4-5..
