OMG! Well I knew a trampoline for my girls for Christmas was going to be a bundle of trouble! My parents bought them a 14 foot tramploine for christmas, I went over the rules with them over and over, and they have been good girls and following them. Well since they couldn't get hurt that way lets just land on our finger and break it! DARN IT!! I am on my way to Kaiser in 10 minutes to get it X-rayed and treated...Wish me Luck! Thanks Mom and DAD!

We love our grandchildren too much sometimes....but the last thing we would want in this old world would be to hurt them..

Children are going to get HURT..whether we buy the gift or the parent does, whether we are only a foot away or a yard away.. stuff happens

Your parents won`t be around that much longer..live and let live, and love them while you have them...It is always easy to blame someone else, .. ...

Heck, I broke my arms just walking around when I was 7. And I broke my ankle running outside.

And when I was in 6th grade the thing to do was to try and break a finger. So at least they weren't trying.

Yes I was! Thank you for noticing! LOL! I love my parents no matter what they do in my life...just was trying to say jeesh thanks! LOL! If I really didn't want the darn thing here I would of told them take it back. Oh, and yes she fractured her pinky on her right hand..so it is wrapped up good and cannot play her flute for awhile which made her cry...when she broke the finger she wasn't even crying! LOL!

So GemofPa...you can relax and no need to take out your soap box..I do know what kids do..after all I am a parent!!

You and I must both be smart butts! LOL! Yeah, she is out for a few..The doctor really didn't tell me how long to keep her finger down. He told us it is a hairline fracture and sprain and should heal up quickly and to just come back in on Thursday with her primary to check up on it. She is in 5th grade and has quickly fell in love with playing her flute. She is right now at the dining room table praticing writing with her left hand since her right hand hurts! LOL! My kids are only grandkids on both sides and boy do I know about grandparent spoiling! LOL! Yet, they are so lucky to have grandparent like them..

Awwwww, poor kid, I do feel for her. And God love her, she WANTS to play the flute..it was like pulling teeth for my daughters to practice when they were young.
And thank you SHA, I guess I was being over protective of us oldies.
I have just had some hurtful experiences w/ being blamed for things I knew naught of.
A lot of folks speak before they think nowadays and I guess I was one of `em today, maybe.
You must have been a little up-set yourself when she got hurt...I always hated to see my kids hurt too.

LOL! I wonder how much more we have in common..I noticed your only a year younger than me too! LOL! I told her that you all hoped she felt better and she says "Thank you very much" and was deeply embarrased that I posted it on the board! LOL!
