No flames please, its something I came across researching christmas on my predestination site(my brother is teaching me about predestination)and I thought this article clarifies why we as christians can not let it be,we are instructed not to be nuetral about this.

Witches and Pagans love Christmas

Taken from Christmas: A Witches Feast

In Deut.12:29-32, we read:

“When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land; Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods. What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.”

Notice that the Lord God hates the things that the heathens do unto their gods. A well-known witch, Silver Ravenwolf, wrote a book to instruct young witches in the craft. She is the director of the Wiccan/Pagan Press Alliance, a network of Pagan newsletters, publishers, and writers. She has been a witch since she was seventeen. She carries many pagan titles reaching international status, and her hearthstone coven is known as “Coven of the Wolf”. In her book, she talks to new pagan recruits about holidays, and how to handle them. For those who think they “honor God” by doing Christmas and think it does not matter how we worship God, I hope you will read this carefully!

“Depending upon your previous religious background, your first year of Craft celebrations and holidays may be a bit confusing. You may find yourself acknowledging generally accepted holidays with your family and friends right along with the private celebration of your Craft special days. There is nothing wrong with this. Our family is a large one with many children. I am a Witch, but my husband is a Pagan and my father is a Christian. Therefore, we still celebrate the coming of Santa on December 25th, right along with Yule from December 20-23, depending upon the actual time of the solstice. Granted, some of the double holidays create a little more work, but it is well worth it!...It is acceptable to continue double holidays for your entire lifetime. In Witchcraft it really doesn’t matter! All positive forms of celebration are accepted” (To Ride A Silver Broomstick: New Generation Witchcraft, Silver RavenWolf., 31).

Notice, that to a pagan, it really doesn’t matter how you worship. As Christians, can we make the same claim? Can we say that it does not really matter how we worship God? On page 34, Silver Ravenwolf comforts her recruits to witchcraft by giving them a clear history of their pagan origins. We read, and I quote:

“The shortest day of the year and, of course, the longest night. This is usually the 20th or 21st of December. Yuletide (the Teutonic version) lasts from December 20th through December 31st. It begins on “Mother Night” and ends twelve days later on “Yule Night:” hence the “twelve days of Christmas” tradition. In Pecti-Wita Yule falls on December 22nd and is called Feill Fionnain. In the Caledonii Tradition it is called Alban Arthan and is not considered a fire festival. A time when the waxing sun overcomes the waning sun. In some traditions, it is a time when the Holly King (representing the death aspect of the God) is overcome by the Oak King (who embodies the rebirth of the God, and is sometimes referred to us the Divine Child). Since this is a solar festival, it is celebrated by fire and the use of the Yule log. The colors of the season, red and green, are of original Pagan decent. The act of cutting and decorating the Yule Tree and exchanging gifts are also Pagan derivatives. Wreaths of holly and fancy cookies and breads are a part of our tradition, as well. Food is prepared specially for the after-dinner Yule celebration when the tree is lighted and the Yule log is burned. A portion of the Yule log is saved to be used in lighting next year’s log. This piece is kept throughout the year to protect the home. Bayberry candles are also burned to ensure wealth and happiness throughout the following year. They can be placed on the dining table at sunset and burned until they go out by themselves. Another pair can be set upon the mantle and lit at the beginning of the Yule ceremony. The reindeer stag is also a reminder of the horned God, so if you find yourself trying to choose a card for both Christian and Pagan friends, choose a nature scene that includes a stag—an easy way not to offend anyone. You will find that many traditional Christmas decorations have some type of Pagan ancestry or significance that can be added to your Yule holiday” (To Ride A Silver Broomstick: New Generation Witchcraft, Silver RavenWolf., 34).

We are commanded not to have any fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather, reprove them. Christianity, instead of reproving witchcraft, has adopted her pagan rituals, and dubbed them “Christian, in honor of Jesus”. How is this honoring God? God is not pleased, my friend.

Listen carefully, every time Israel stepped out of God’s word, and started worshipping Him in the manner of the nations around them, they went under judgment. Now the things the Israelites went through were for an example to us. In 1Cor. 10:5, we read:

“But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. either murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.”

When God rebuked Israel, He did it for our sakes, that we would learn from them. We learn God’s judgments and God’s statutes. In Joshua 23, starting at verse 3, we are warned:

“And ye have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto all these nations because of you; for the LORD your God is he that hath fought for you...And the LORD your God, he shall expel them from before you, and drive them from out of your sight; and ye shall possess their land, as the LORD your God hath promised unto you. Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left; That ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them: But cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done unto this day. For the LORD hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day. One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you. Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the LORD your God. Else if ye do in any wise go back, and cleave unto the remnant of these nations, even these that remain among you, and shall make marriages with them, and go in unto them, and they to you: Know for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps unto you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until ye perish from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you. And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof. Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you. When ye have transgressed the covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which he hath given unto you.”

Did Israel obey God? No, they did not. In 2 Kings 17, starting in verse 7, we read:

“For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods, And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made. And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the LORD their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city. And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree: And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the LORD carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the LORD to anger: For they served idols, whereof the LORD had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing. Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets. Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the LORD their God. And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them...They feared the LORD, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence. Unto this day they do after the former manners: they fear not the LORD, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which the LORD commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel; With whom the LORD had made a covenant, and charged them, saying, Ye shall not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them: But the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power and a stretched out arm, him shall ye fear, and him shall ye worship, and to him shall ye do sacrifice. And the statutes, and the ordinances, and the law, and the commandment, which he wrote for you, ye shall observe to do for evermore; and ye shall not fear other gods. And the covenant that I have made with you ye shall not forget; neither shall ye fear other gods. But the LORD your God ye shall fear; and he shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies. Howbeit they did not hearken, but they did after their former manner. So these nations feared the LORD, and served their graven images, both their children, and their children's children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day.”

Just as Israel “served the Lord AND served other gods”, so Christianity has come to serve the Lord and to serve other gods. It was the practice of Roman Catholicism to dub the gods of the people “saints”.
