Another Doctors Appointment - Big Big Forums

I have been to the doctors more this year than I have in the past 20 years.
Started with a UTI, one time, two, times, six times.
Then I changed doctors (had no choice)

had urine test another UTI, then doctor wanted me to have a colonosccopy (Told my son I din't like him for this, he insisted, cancer runs in family)

then had mamograph and a bone density done. (now on citracal and actonel for osteoporosis.

then sent to urologist, all kinds of xrays (will get all results on 9/10/03.

Then mammography doctor called wants me to come back again today, needs to take more pictures of left breast only, don't like the looks of it they say. ( I have masses in my breasts non cancerous showed up on ultrasound as black spots).

So it's back to the doctor again today for another mamogram then back to doctor tomorrow for information on urology

I'm not really worried, just apprehensive. Anyhow there is it.

Holy cow. You are gonna be brand new after all of this stuff. I hope everything turns out ok. It is great to see that you seem to be in great spirits. Good luck with everything!

I think that having your breast squeezed and shoved into a machine and then told to hold completely still while you are in the most uncomfortable position possible is enough of a reason to be reluctant to go back for another mammogram.

I am putting it off as long as possible. Cancer doesn't run in my family and being small busted means that they flatten out what little I have. One day they are going to do it and my breasts are going to come out looking like little pancakes.

If you're reluctant to go again, try somebody else. My first experience was unpleasant so I put it off. I went last year to somebody else and it was so much better.

Sorry about your medical problems. Maybe they are just being thorough. I am like you, rarely ill, but then you get hit a few things at once. It is depressing and you can't help worrying. Try to take it one thing at a time and look at it like they are covering all the bases. No one wants to be sued for malpractice from missing something.
