DHS came by yesterday afternoon and DH and I explained what was going on. I think the visit went EXTREMELY well. She asked what measures we would take to make sure DH would not upset the kids anymore. DH said that from now on when the kids (DD #1 mostly) angered him, he would walk outside and cool off. I agreed with him. I also told DD #1 that I feel she has emotionally abused me due to the fact that she has stated many more times than I can count that she wants to live with her dad's mother and sister. I also explained that in a sense, her father emotionally abused her when he told her she was an "accident". She said she didn't remember saying that he told her that. DS told her he even heard her...BUSTED. DH and I told her she has upset me several times when I made breakfast and she didn't eat it. Normally, they eat cereal. I try to do cinamon rolls or biscuts, or eggs once a week.

I also explained to the DHS lady that DH and I have been through alot of stress with the dysplasia. DH and I also told the DHS lady that before DH and I got together, the EX and I went on dates occasionally. That gave the DHS lady a "heads up" that perhaps he is jealous of DH and my relationship. This in no way excuses DH for what he has done, but know that he knows "big brother" really is watching, I think he will definately straighten up. He did not yell at the kids or get in their faces when we all talked last night.

I hope everything turns out well for you in the end......It does take time for things to settle and if your children are like mine they are having a hard time accepting the fact that I am not with their father and they resent me for that, but they now know that I am remarried that their father and I will never ever be together again and they are finally coming to terms with this, it has taken quite some time but they are handling it better.....
