Angry I can't stand my kids school ! !

Today was class picture day at my kids school. They got all dressed up and I did their hair the way they wanted it done. My first grader was so excited to get her pictures done with her friends. I go to pick her up from school today and asked her how her pictures went. She said she didn't get her pictures done. So, I went to her classroom to talk to her teacher. There was a substitute there. So, I asked her what happened. She told me oh I forgot to get Alia from resource for her pictures (Alia goes to resource for help with Math). I said you forgot her????? She says yeah her and another little boy who goes out of the classroom for help. I was pi$$ed big time by then. I asked where the teacher was. The substitute said oh she is on jury duty. So, the teacher knew ahead of time she wouldn't be there. Someone should have left detailed instructions for the substitute on how to handle this situtation. I even asked her didn't you do a head count when you got to the pictures. She said she forgot to. Hello!!! You forgot to make sure you had your class?

So, I went to the office and was told they can't do anything about it. Now my first grader is upset because she didn't get her picture taken with her friends. I even paid for the picture this morning. The substitute remembered to take my daughter's money, but forgot to take her for her pictures. I asked to speak to the principal and surprise she isn't there. She is never there. She is usually in one or two days a week. There is a fourth grade teacher who is studying to be a principal who covers for her. So, of course that teacher is never in her own classroom she always has a substitute.

I can not wait until next year when I don't have to deal with these people anymore. This is probably the worst school I have ever dealt with.

Thank you for listening to this if you made it all the way through.

dont they have makeup day for pics? or is that just for individual pics? Sorry that wasnt fair to her and yes I would pitch a fit. Thats something you can never replace in years to come.

The reason I am so upset is because that picture can't be replaced. I could care less about the money (it was only $2.00), but now my daughter is all upset and no one at the school cares.

They don't do makeup days for class pictures. Only individual ones.

Oh and I just found out that there is another little girl in her class that goes out of the class at the same time my daughter does and they remembered to go get her for the pictures. So, it was just my daughter and this little boy who got left out. And they are putting on the picture that they were absent that day. And these pictures go in the Yearbook.

Yeah they have a yearbook. You have to order them by March 15 or they add another dollar to the price. I think they are $7.00 this year. With 3 kids it adds up!

She cried earlier about all of this and I know she will cry again when her daddy gets home. He is so mad. He can't stand for them to be upset. I am going to go talk to the principal tomorrow if she is in.

They do where my kids attend school. They're $15 each.

Maybe you could take your daughter and her close friends to walmart or somewhere like that and have a special picture package taken. Maybe that would cheer her up. The packages are very resonable there.

Our year books are about 20 pages long. The school they went to before the year books were 45 pages long and were $5.00

I think I am going to go into her classroom and take pics of her and her friends. This way she will have something to remember them by.

Thanks to everyone for all of your advice. It means so much to me to be able to vent! ((((((((hugs to all my BBS friends)))))))))

I would demand my money back & make a phone call to the principal.
